Calq 1.4.3 (Mac OS X)
This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for! A calculator that doesn't take time to load, is accessible with a keyboard shortcut OR a menu bar click, and disappears as soon as I'm done with it. Thanks! [alert admin]

CocoaBooklet 2.0.4 (Mac OS X)
Ever since ALAP's InBooklet was bought by Quark, and subsequently taken off the market by them, InDesign users have been feeling the pain of not being able to easily create booklets. This software has filled that void. I've just used this product for a huge project I needed to complete this week, and it did a 100% amazing job. And free! I'm impressed. It handled a huge 32-page PDF and converted it to printer's spreads (on a legal sheet) in about a minute. The added PDF service in the print dialog box is a nice option too! Many, many thanks! Bible Sander 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Nice stable application. Does what it says, and it does it instanteously without extraneous bells and whistles. I'd like to see it flag non-scriptural passage titles (maybe search for strings of text without punctuation?) and offer the chance to eliminate those as well. Great job! [alert admin]

JewelCase 1.8 (Mac OS X)
I'm so pleased with this plug-in it's surprising! I mean, hey, it's just a visualizer for iTunes, but I find myself switching from my work over to iTunes when a song is about to end just so I can watch the jewel case zoom away and the new one appear. Smooth! By the way, you'll need to have the album artwork already associated with your mp3 for it so show correctly, otherwise you get the solid color album artwork. It doesn't automatically fetch it for you, which I like, because that doesn't always work out (as with other programs). I'm glad also for all the great options. Way to go! Another nifty bonus: the installer automates everything for you -- thanks! [alert admin]

BiblePod 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Simple and to the point. It'd be great to import the whole bible at once, rather than piecemeal by chapters, but this is a labor of love anyhow. With regard to the "outrage" comment by Fredrick, others need not worry. The content is KJV, and is accurate as far as I've seen. In fact, if you open the package contents, there's an XML file in there called "KJV_apok.xml" and sure enough, the Apocrypha is in there too. You can't access it via BiblePod, but I'm sure with a tweak or two it could be possible. [alert admin]

iPodderX Lite 2.2.9 (Mac OS X)
IPodderX Lite will reliably crash in 10.3 when you: - try to delete a subscription while listening to another - try to delete a subscription while it's refreshing It hangs up considerably when you do things like: - browse the directory while you're listening - change anything while you're listening Otherwise, it's got a great interface, although it shouldn't take 3-4 clicks to hear the audio feed on a podcast -- it should only take 1. I think IPodderX Lite is designed to help you be patient. Not too bad for free, by the way! [alert admin]

Phew 1.0 (Mac OS X)
<p>A very simple backup utility that does what it says. It's fairly intelligent about backing up a folder, in that if you are backing up one folder from your local HD to an external HD, and the folders are named the same, you won't lose any files -- it errs on the side of caution and simply adds to the existing folder any files from the local not found on the external.</p><p>With regards to the user who said the Backup button didn't do anything, I'd hazard a guess that no folders had been selected to be backed up when he clicked it.</p><p>If you're looking for something that compresses data and automatically restores, look elsewhere; Phew seems to be for the more savvy user anyway. This app has been 100% stable for me (iBook G4, 10.3.8), and I recommend it for those who simply want an application that backs up data, especially if you need to back up to several locations at once.</p> [alert admin]

Wroble 1.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
...that it will drive you nuts. The scoring is completely off (the computer played the word 'WEB' and got 55 points -- I challenge anyone to get their Scrabble board out and make that mathematical combination). There's no bonus for playing all your letters (I played all of mine on the first turn, and got 14 points -- wha?!). There are the other mentioned bugs as well: mandatory picking your own tiles whether you check it or not, no points on the letters (not that they follow any consistent scoring anyway), etc. This is almost a good Beta, but hardly a shareware program. Make the scoring accurate and consistent, have an option to hide your tiles (so the opponent can't see them), and then re-release this. [alert admin]
