SilverFast Ai (Epson) 6.5.5r3 (Mac OS X)
Like others, I had problems with my Epson Perfection 4400 after installing Leopard. They were annoying but not fatal; I had to force quit the scanner application and Photoshop after scanning, but I could get the job done. I reported the problems. This version seems to fix them. Silverfast is a fine, powerful scanning product (much better than what comes with the Scanner), and I'm happy to stick with it. [alert admin]

This is a general reply to all comments here about Scribus on Mac, from a long-time user who knows and has worked with key developers. 1. It's not necessary to install developer tools or compile Scribus; easily-installed binary versions are available at the Scribus site.
