Sorenson Squeeze 3.0 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
Sorenson for a long time now and swore by it as I had a hacked version for Mac... with it being so stupidly expensive and me still struggling to make a living I'll use alternatives for progressive download and streaming, especially the Windows Media 9 codecs looking great - VBR audio and video with up to 2 passes... also there is a larger userbase for WM than Quicktime I'd think. Awave Audio 8.1 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
and I do need the functionality, but for this price tag I'm going to look elsewhere. I would pay $20 but no more, although if you do tons of converting and have money to spend where $50 is not a factor... I'll stick to WMP9 for now for CDA extraction and MP3 VBR for wav/aiff's [alert admin]

Microsoft DirectX 9.0 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
care much for your opinion of Microsoft and your download speeds mate. I would on the other hand value any input on how DX9 works with games like 'UT 2003' and 'Mafia' etc... that would be practical but I'll have to see for myself. And as far as 'gamesprockets' for the Mac, you can use them to play Q3A in 2003. Go at it mate lol. [alert admin]

paranoid individual... 'microsoft with swords over our heads' etc etc. What a joke. Big corporations have existed for decades. You seem to be very eager to see the devil as Microsoft and forget other REAL evils in this world. 'Microsoft like a drug dealer' as you quote, you make me laugh. All of you paranoid Mac users whom think the big bad world of Bill Gates is looming over your heads! you make me laugh. I own a PC with XP Professional and it rocks bigtime (after owning Macs for 8 years). The Mac version of Messenger is pretty lame, doesn't even work - login fails. Whose fault this is I'm not sure, but it sure is a shame. Point is blame the software, not the entire goddamn company! You're lucky your getting MSN Messenger at all!!! I don't see iTunes being ported to PC by Apple and whom can blame them. [alert admin]

Microsoft Outlook Express 5.0.3 (Mac OS 9)
idea on how to export contacts and mail messages to Outlook Express on PC? I just bought one and need to get all info from work back to home. All standard options of export on Mac OE do not work, I think the options for this very important function suck bigtime. Any info? Mail me: andrew@fusion01.com Thanks. [alert admin]

Netscape Communicator 4.8 (Mac OS 9)
wicked, for dev of w/sites I now have to code for 4.6, 6 and 7 'cos all versions are allowed for d/l consecutively. I am so blo*dy tired of this. Die Netscape and bring me peace. [alert admin]

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos 1.0.2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
with ATI 128, can't fit Gerforce 4 'cos no 4x AGP, so sold the Mac, got a PC with Leadtek 250 4200 128mb of RAM and am stoked cos it runs at 1200 fps. Tired of being held back by lowly Mac hardware options, expensive and no selection. And I ain't going to spend double for an OS. Great game. [alert admin]

Apple NVIDIA Driver 3.0 v1.1 (Mac OS 9)
would be really cool if someone could let knw whether another GeForce 2 MX 400 will work in a G4. I got mine with a ATI 128 and am trying to fit the thing. It's giving me some funny graphical glitches even with 2.6 drivers installed. I think it should work... same card. Apple is useless and gives no info on this issue. You'd think they would... they need the user base and I need the help. If anyone knows: andrew@curvemm.com. I would really appreciate some info if poss. Thanks. PS: Going to try this driver update now, out with the old card, in the new. Have to see what happens... [alert admin]
