VLC Media Player 1.0.0rc4 (Mac OS X)
turn error message window off?
I'd like to have the option to not be shown the error message window unless I request it. When starting up some internet streams, such as Radio Paradise AAC link: http://www.radioparadise.com/musiclinks/rp_128aac-1.m3u there is usually some sort of failure to connect that then gets negotiated or corrected, then the stream starts. I don't need to see the error message window in this case and I'd like the option to not be shown it automatically. [alert admin]

VLC Media Player 1.0.0rc2 (Mac OS X)
within ~5 minutes of playback the PPC version hangs and requires a force-quit. No problems with the Intel version of 1.0.0rc2. In general, VLC is great, but there's a bug in this version to be ironed out. [alert admin]

WindowShade X 4.2 (Mac OS X)
I've used WindoShade for years. I love it. I use it constantly, as I don't much like send windows to the dock. I keep the dock hidden, so it usually works better for me to windoshade windows to get them out of the way temporarily. This is a good product that works well for me. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 4.0b (Mac OS X)
Apple needs to restore the ability to snapback (the red return arrow that takes you back to the top web page you loaded before following a series of links) from any series of links, rather than only when you type in a url to start off or use search to start off. Really really dumb move on Apple's part to ruin one of the best features. [alert admin]

OS 10.4.11 on a powerbook G4. Causes my system preferences to crash repeatedly. Love ASM, can live without it and never had a problem before, so I am sure this will get fixed quickly. [alert admin]

ASM 2.2.2 (Mac OS X)
The only downside is that when I use someone else's computer, I am so used to ASM that at first I get disoriented, and have to think to myself "how do these primitive people navigate between programs without ASM?" [alert admin]

Where's the manual/instructions?
Some instructions and documentation would be nice, especially considering there's a whole new program here with new functions that are not obvious to use. [alert admin]

Still not finished - 7 HOURS and counting...
I also have this problem on a 1997 macbook pro running Snow Leopard. Trashing the prefs and reinstalling iTunes does not help. iTunes locks up during this procedure or during the updating of the coverflow on this machine.

ASM: Jewel in the Mac OS crown
Sometimes, oftentimes, it's more convenient to use your mousing hand rather than your keyboard hand for application switching. I also find it more convenient to drag my mouse down a menu than tab tab tab tab tab to get to an application. I love ASM. I find it a great convenience.

There is an OS X version of the old program Amplify available too: http://engels.genetics.wisc.edu/amplify/ As a recommendation for AmplifyX, the graphical output could be made a little more viewer friendly, nicer graphics, etc. I love the primer info that is displayed in AmplifyX, very nice.

Where's the manual/instructions?
Manual wouldn't load on one computer, but loaded on several others. Great app!
