Xiph QuickTime Components 0.1.8 (Mac OS X)

I downloaded this app a few days ago because I want to listen to live audio streams in the ogg vorbis format, but neither QickTime player nor iTunes can play them. Both recognize and open the .m3u files, but won’t play anything but a short high pitch beep. Is streaming not supported? [alert admin]
