CachemanXP 1.51 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)

Briliant

Does what suposed to do - thats it. Very light on resources, keeps Windows from caching itself to death; The most visible difference would be comparing how windows behaves after overnight p2p client session; without cachemanxp windows cache is basically trashed, with cachemanxp, u don't have to reboot windows to get ur system back. cheers... Free way to catch a virus

rb3d: read some reviews mate, AVG is in the top 10... counting from the bottom. Does not pickup a half of viruses, plus it is a bloatware :) [alert admin]

VLC media player 0.8.5-test4 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)

Great !!!

Have been using for over a year now, on mac, recently switched back to pc. VLC is even better :) imho dvd playback is much smoother on decent intel with decent video adapter than on ppc (g5), but that's only my opinion. Anyways, it plays everything, from gp to dvd playback. Interface is not intrusive - it is easy to use, but if you want you can apply filter, crop, change display ratio, etc... so it is powerfull player but not bloatware. [alert admin]
