FruitMenu 3.7.3 (Mac OS X)
Fruit Menu is so important to me I would not move to OSX until I discovered it. I've not been a day without it since. In fact I'm still surprised that Apple downsized the functionality of the OS9 Apple menu. Price is good, setup is easy and use is a piece of cake. What more can anyone ask for? [alert admin]

Billiards 5.1 (Mac OS X)
As someone else noted, there is a distracting logo in the middle of the table. Annoying. The scale is all wrong. A real billiards table is much bigger in comparison to the size of the balls. The ball colors are all wrong for a real game of billiards. And the number of balls bears no relationship to a real game. The motion of the balls on the table is not realistic. Friction and gravity are being ignored at the expense of realism. This whole game has a history of shit development. Either the developer pays no attention to feedback, he is a moron or he is determined to impose his own ideas of how the game should look, to the detriment of the game and of players of any computer analog, simply because of the income potential. You should not play his game (oooh pun!) Reject this rubbish and try one of the alternatives. I've simply had enough of waiting until this develops into a game worth playing, I won't be back. I think he will never get it right. But, no doubt, he won't give up filing glowing "reviews" in fake names. What a loser. [alert admin]

Microsoft Expression Media 2.0.2096.0 (Mac OS X)
Still a compulsory splash screen on startup. Still frequent and mysterious disappearance of the view preferences. Another pet peeve: Accidentally clicking outside an image boundary can lose all of the selection frames. Grossly annoying if I am near the end of a four-figure catalog. Sorry I came back for a quick inspection to see if they have improved what was a good product before they bought it. Nope. [alert admin]

iClock Pro 1.0b21 (Mac OS X)
The bug in version 1.0b20 has been fixed but there is STILL no way that I can see, to access and configure the various times for a chosen list of remote cities. [alert admin]

The first thing you need to click to turn on the functions is "All Menus Enabled". Try it, you will never get all menus to turn on. [alert admin]

Noiseware Professional Plug-in 4.2 (Mac OS X)
No wonder there are no feedback comments! I just downloaded it. The installer says"select the volume..." etc then presents no volumes from which to choose. The pane is empty! Come back, Noise Ninja, all is forgiven. plonk [alert admin]

Noiseware Professional Plug-in 4.2 (Mac OS X)
Hardly fits with their puff "highly-acclaimed, award-winning, setting the standard, leads the field..." I've been using Noise Ninja for many years. Inexplicably, it is not listed with VT. Can anyone post a brief comparison of both tools please? [alert admin]

iClock Pro 1.0b18 (Mac OS X)
The developer should sell this product to an engineer who knows how it should work. I've been using iClock for years, hoping, hoping, hoping that it will eventually function bug-free as intended. It never has and maybe it never will. The principle is great. In theory, this should be much more functional and useful than its competitors. If only it would work! They still expect money for a beta. There is still is no real manual except online. We should be able to download it. I knew how to customize the cities drop-down. Not any more. The manual says "click 'edit time zone list'" but where is that button? Pathetic, really. [alert admin]

QuickImageCM 2.4 (Mac OS X)
The solution to the "delete resource fork" problem on Intel machines is to install Grim Ripper. Works fine. MacBook Pro, OSX 10.5.7 [alert admin]

Apple Java for OS X 10.5 Update 4 (Mac OS X)
Intel MacBook Pro, OSX 10.5.7, Safari 4, Java already turned off in Safari prefs. System stable and everything working properly. Install this Java update Safari no longer goes anywhere. Crashed every time I attempted to go to any URL Tried everything including repair permissions, Disk Warrior, trashing Safari prefs In the end, I had to do a complete system re-install, omitting this latest Java update in Software Update. Everything now works ok again. [alert admin]

Don't step over to the dark side. Change printing companies. Let the industry know how Mac users feel about being forced to work with shyte.

Apple does the same thing. Try to update Aperture if it is not at the root level of the Applications folder or has been renamed (with version number in the name for example). Adobe does it. (Try to move any component of Creative Suite and it will thereafter claim to be "damaged") And, of course, Microsoft does it. (Try to remove "Microsoft" from the name "Microsoft Word" and it will thereafter not be found by updaters.) This is…

I'm sure his criticism relates to the perceived deception in the description. If this software is free, it's free. If there is some limitation or problem after a year, then it's not free and there is a lack of disclosure.
