iTrain 1.1.0 (Mac OS X)
iTrain is a comprehensive but easy to use control program for model railways. It gets better with each release and is written by an enthusiast who is also a professional computer programmer. The manual is well written and the prompt response from the author to queries via both email or the dedicated forum for registered users is a real plus. Users are encouraged to put forward their own suggestions for future features so there is an opportunity to be actively involved in the development. iTrain has become as an essential part of my railway operation as the ECoS to which it seamlessly connects. iList Data 3.5.0 (Mac OS X)
This fits in well with the Apple iWork08 suite providing an application which can handle serious and powerful database work without the complexity or price of Filemaker. It will suit the needs of both the casual amateur and a lot of professional users at a reasonable price. [alert admin]
