Growl 1.1.4 (Mac OS X)
I feel lost when I don't have Growl keeping me up to date on everything. It's really pretty amazing how many apps integrate with Growl and how little configuration it needs; it really follows the Mac philosophy of "just working." There is, of course, plenty of customization for those who want it, but all of the configuration is painless. Five stars! [alert admin]
