American Heritage Dictionary - Desk Edition 1.0 (iPhone)
I like to research a product prior to purchasing, however, this developer's web site has been non-existent since the product was released yesterday. As of the time of this review, it is still "file does not exist" http error 404. Manually going to the domain does have company information, but nothing on any iPhone products. [alert admin]

Spent hrs playing with a) other apps, b) automator, c) dropping on Disk Utility. "a" and "b" frustrating, at best, getting a slick way to drop a volume, and have it pick up source name. "dropping" on Disk Utility was most automatic, until I realized my backup project was archiving PRE- OS-X HD floppies. You must use IMG to maintain resourc/data fork files. Disk Utility doesn't do that. Had this setup within seconds of opening. Dropped floppy onto it, it did the obvious action of picking up the source's name. Contents, including desktop, perfectly imaged. Purchased. (literally 15seconds later had registration code) Gave it all 5-stars. Might be that it's 2am, and I happy to have found what, for me, is a perfect solution, but from my perspective, the author deserves some recognition for a nice product. [alert admin]

Toast Titanium 6.1 (Mac OS X)
Missing Audio Burn from iTunes
I use Toast for burning purchased music because iTunes is more limited when it comes to gap timing between songs. With iTunes, you can only set ONE gap time. There are some tracks that orginally had ZERO time between them. In Toast you can change the gap time between EACH song. I don't know what pressure Apple has put upon Roxio [to remove this feature], but I can't understand how this curtails any misuse of purchased songs. It only annoys us that DO purchase music. I have always HIGHLY recommended Toast, but, with this revision, that recommendation will most certainly will be tempered. I have been using Toast almost as long as it's been out and this is truly a step backwards. Although hesitant, I would still recommend Toast as an addition to the built in burning solutions. More Recent Icons 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Seems to work just fine. Only been using for an hour or so, but I'm very happy with the quality of other Ecamm products, so I have confidence in this. Thanks for the freebie! It will be greatly enjoyed. [alert admin]

Descender 1.4 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I hadn't played it for a while, so I tried 1.4. Doesn't respond from keyboard input. Went back to 1.3.x, same thing. Trashed all preferences. No help. [alert admin]

Mah Jong Solitaire 2 3D V1.36b (Mac OS X)
I like the 3D effect, but having it constantly rotating while I move cursor around is annoying. I would like to see the option to perhaps control-click, to allow the user to determine when to rotate. [alert admin]

PostCard 20040326 (Mac OS X)
Irregardless of the price, I reserve the right to install on my current, future machines, or move to another machine. The license for this product is apparently tied to the ethernet interface ID (NIC). [alert admin]

QTConvert 1.1 (Mac OS X)
does same conversion as Apple...
This program does exactly the same conversion that Apple does when burning a CD or, if using Toast to burn protected AAC's as audio CD (AIFF). Perfectly legal - Apple lets the user burn unlimited CD's of individual songs. [alert admin]
