Electric Sheep 2.7b14a (Mac OS X)

Install Failed

I have been running Electric Sheep for over a month. When I ran the installer for this version, the installer ran for a few seconds and then put up an alert that said: !Install Failed The Installer could not install some files in “/./Library/Screen Savers”. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. OS X 10.5.6, 2008 iMac 24” [alert admin]

iTweax 1.05 (Mac OS X)

Confusing Authorization

When I start iTweaX, it prompts for an Admin password, but supplies the default non-admin user short Login Name (I'm normally logged in as the non-admin user). Since the Login Name is locked (I can't change it), I can't start the program as the non-admin user by authorizing with the Admin user name and password. It does work when I login as the Admin user (then it supplies the short name of the Admin user). If I can only use this program when I'm logged in as the Admin, it should just say so. [alert admin]

Spanish Byki Express 4.0 Language Learning 4.0 (Mac OS X)

Can't get past “Loading scores”

When I install and run this program, after the preliminaries, a progress bar alert appears titled “Loading scores”. The progress bar never moves, and it just sits there until I quit the program. OS X 10.5.6, iMac 2008, 4GB [alert admin]

VueScan 8.5.06 (Mac OS X)

Fixed major problem with my Canon LiDE 30 scanner

Many months ago, documents scanned on my Canon LiDE 30 scanner started coming out very dark on about a third of the page (left-to-right), making them unusable for most purposes. Only procrastination kept me from throwing it in the trash. This update seems to have completely fixed that problem. The change notes mention that this update fixes a problem with streaking on the LiDE 30. My problem would have been better described as vertical banding than streaking. [alert admin]

is this a beta?

I think they just released the non-beta version 3.0.0 version today, but there may still be some links that indicate beta. Agile's download files clearly indicate BETA or not, so you'll know which you got.

TimeCapsule with 7.4.2 did not liked my MacBook anymore

I updated my Time Capsule (1TB) from my iMac 2008 while my MacBook (late 2006) was sleeping. After the update completed and the network was alive again, I woke the MacBook, it immediately commenced a Time Machine backup, and completed that normally. The MacBook's wireless connection was set to WPA2 all along. All network activity appears normal now. Both Macs are running OS X 10.5.7.

Re: OK

It seems to be working with Safari 4.0b, though the text formatting is not identical to what is on the web page.
