1Password 2.9.4 (Mac OS X)

A "Must Own"!!!

This is one of those things in life that you never knew you needed until you own it! It's a huge time saver and so convenient and easy to use I can't imagine ever being without it again. If you use any kind of online accounts, emails, forums, personal websites, subscriptions - ANYTHING where you have to register and then log in every time you use it - this app will do it for you automatically with just a click! Additionally, you can bolster security for your accounts by using STRONG passwords, instead of easy ones to remember and type quickly. Hands down, this is a brilliant app. Don't miss it. Charge for Beta?

Can't believe they would actually charge people to help them de-bug this app. Of course it's beta, and crashes a lot - but not worth the time. [alert admin]

iGallery 1.6.1 (Mac OS X)

Very basic & simple

It doesn't get any more basic than this - drop your shots in and click to create the page & supporting docs...you do not have to know anything at all about code to use this app. It's so easy, a PC owner could do it. The price is right too! Wish it would allow viewing of individual pics without automatically kicking into the slide show. Wish for some customization of header/footer & other areas around the window for logos or more text info. Wish it allowed for viewer comments to be entered for each photo. Wish it could be configured to use your local Mac as the web host! OK, maybe asking too much...LOL Daniele has done a very good job. It's easy and fun - try it! [alert admin]

GolfXpress 1.86 (Mac OS X)

Very simple

I've been using the program for a couple of months now and like it, but it does feel like an app that could be a lot more full featured (maybe in V2? :-) One thing that makes me nuts is the "automated checking" of the drives in fairway, and greens in regulation boxes. I wish there were a preference that could turn it OFF. A player might miss the fairway and green in regulation but still make par or birdie. If this were done intelligently, the app could see a 1 putt for par and know that the green was not hit in regulation - but instead, it sees a par and assumes you did hit it and the fairway. I find myself having to uncheck/check and correct these boxes all the time. That's really my only sticky point though. A couple of other features I might like - maybe a handicap trend in the statistics? I would also like to be able to not just sort statistics by course, but to actually SEE only statistics from a single course...this way I can tell, for instance, what courses I hit or miss more fairways in, putt better, hit GIRs etc., so I can make game adjustments or practice to improve the stats. That's it for now - thanks for supporting OSX!!!!! [alert admin]

GolfXpress 1.86 (Mac OS X)

What's new?

Maybe I've missed it somewhere, but what is the difference between 1.86 and 1.87? Should I bother upgrading or just wait til V2? I'm a new user but like the app so far, though it is missing some features found on other packages, I can see that the software is still fairly new with a lot of ongoing development. Developers who are serious about improving products will get my purchase any time over ones who just sell something "as is" and don't care about the users. [alert admin]
