Symantec NAV/SAV virus def July 2 (Mac OS X)

What's up with the constant updates?

Am I missing something? Symantec seems to be updating their virus definition files every day. And this is for the Mac OS that isn't as susceptible to viruses. Could someone please explain the need for these daily updates? [alert admin]

Slipy 1.3 (Mac OS X)

This program rocks!!!

With this new version (1.3) I was able to (starting with an eMac Restore disk that installs 10.3.4) make a one-click install DVD that installs 10.3.5 + every other upgrade there is. Running Software Update after brings up an empty window! Thanks for writing this app and saving me SOOOO MUCH TIME!!!! [alert admin]

PocketMac GoBetween 1.0 (Mac OS X)

So far, so good...

My plan was to take this slow. The first thing that I have done is to sync the contacts in Entourage with Apple's Address Book. I got duplicates because there are duplicates. Now I will go through and resolve those (a quick response from PocketMac clarified that I can delete dups in either app) and then sync again. Finally we will overwrite the Palm. I will report back when I'm done, but so far it all seems to be going as advertised and with none of the insane scrambling described by others. I'll give it 4 stars for now, reserving the last one when I see the same list in all three places... [alert admin]

Worked perfectly here…

too. XServe's great! Much nicer than our Win2k server was. Easier to set up in mixed platform envrionment, easier to maintain. What else do you want? Seems to be as fast or faster than our "old" P4 Win2k server. [alert admin]
