Adium X 1.2.6 (Mac OS X)
I upgraded to 1.2.6 and Adium works for a short time then suddenly starts disconnecting and reconnecting my jabber account, over and and over again. The only way to fix is to quit and restart adium. In my console log I see: SocketRead: read(5) error 0 SocketRead err = -9802 SocketRead: read(5) error 0 SocketRead err = -9802 SocketRead: read(5) error 0 SocketRead err = -9802 SocketRead: read(5) error 0 SocketRead err = -9802 To make matters worse, the Adium forum seems to be down so no way to check if other users are reporting. PTHPasteboard 4.2.1 (Mac OS X)
I used PTH until it became unavailable, and switched to shadowclipboard. After dealing with gigabyte sized cache files, and other bugs, I starting looking and (re)found PTHPasteboard. Registered it rigth away. Thanks for a great product. [alert admin]

This is a wonderful tool. You never know when some garbage will show up on the screen. Whenever my young son and I are doing research, looking for new games, etc., stuff I prefer he not see comes up. With this tool my worries are much reduced. It's very easy to turn this on and off as needed. Of course, it won't block stuff you are purposely trying to view, but this is great for those of us who choose to not see this stuff. The auther should put up a paypal account for donations. Apple Airport Extreme Update 2007-001 (Mac OS X)
Looks like Apple has chosen to ignore the issues with this update, in their usual arrogsnt way. Today a slew of new updates came out but Apple refuses to fix the issues with this Airport update. [alert admin]

macxfixit.com and the Apple support forums have lots of people reporting problems. Even though Airport showed four bars, I couldn't access the internet, nor even my lan for more than a few minutes. Had to sleep and wake the Macbook Pro to regain connectivity. Ended up following the instructions at macfixit.com to restore the IO80211Family.kext file to the pre-update state. Apple blew it with this one. Avoid it. [alert admin]

Red Eye Pilot 1.60 (Mac OS X)
I downloaded the "free demo" from the developer's site. As soon as I launch it, I was prompted for a registration code, and could not progress further. I wrote to support and they replied "If you would like to order the program, please go to Help / Ordering Information at the main menu." I replied that I couldn't even launch the demo to find out if I want to purchase it. To that they replied "Unfortunately this is a limitation of the trial version or unregistered one does not allow you to save a corrected file." Doesn't seem to be anyone there that reads the English language. [alert admin]

I imported my PW entries successfully. You need to select ASCII text as the input type. After import you will have to go scroll thru the entries in 1P to correct some characters. I had to correct line breaks in about 100 of my entries, but it took very little time.

According to the release notes for 2007-002, they only fixed the issues they introduced on the Core 2 Duo machines. STILL they ignore Core Duo machines.

Well, it took four emails but they finally admitted they uploaded the wrong version. It doesn't seem to have been worth the hassle. :-/

The new download file does resolve the UPS issue, so apparently they've just got the wrong version number in the app. It's pretty amazing that they chose to ignore users letting them knwo about the problem.
