Barcode Toolbox 2.1.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Great! Money well spent

First reliable barcode maker I've used that didn't require lots of additional tweaking or screwing around... gets the text digits in the right place, in the right size, and the right font. (You may want to convert text to paths.) I resisted the price tag, but the first time I used it, it was MORE than worth the money for the aggravation it saved...and I just billed it to the client! :) [alert admin]

Snail Mail 0.3.7 (Mac OS X)

GooGoo & Gary S

Been using this for several versions, and it works great, well worth paying for. The new dynamic barcode is great. It does NOT insist on misaddressing as Gary S suggests... it works perfectly, or as well as OS X's Print Center will allow it to. (I do have to do page setup each time it's launched, but again, I blame OS X.) Nick also responds promptly to suggestions. [alert admin]

More Apple Russian Roulette-ware

Another update to download, pull the trigger, and hope it doesn't blow your brains out... it said my Quicksilver drive didn't need the update, so I'll live to spin the chamber and pull the trigger another day. [alert admin]

Missing Anchor Points

Anyone else experiencing missing anchor points? I cant see the anchor points on paths, although it acts as if they're still there... is this a "feature" I'm just failing to turn off, or what? It's not as if the anchor points aren't the ENTIRE POINT OF THIS PROGRAM or anything. Sheesh... [alert admin]

Bookit X 3.1.2 (Mac OS X)

Actually costs $13,…

plus save partially disabled in demo, so DON'T spend a lot of time organizing unless you've already registered. Also, could really use a smart de-duping feature, or even a sort option that actually works. [alert admin]

Fantastic

There is a preference under "Menu Bar" to have controls only show when iTunes is running... so one wish granted! Also, I believe iTunes embeds the album graphics in each TRACK, bloating the files, so I'd avoid using it, unless you have a huge hard drive you're anxious to fill up. Still, I LOVE this app, and would highly recommend it!
