Outpost Firewall Pro 2.7.492.416 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)

Highly recommended

After being burned badly by Zonealarm Pro I was suspicious of this but my suspicions were unfounded. This is a well sorted professional bit of software. The default settings are good enough to get you going without having to know an alphabet soup of acroyms & is easy enough to tweak thereafter. I don't agre you have to be too knowledgeable to use it. It works very well & without the nonsense of ZA. I highly recommend this. [alert admin]

Sygate Personal Firewall 5.6 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)

No thanks

I declined to D/L & try this because the pricing is deceptive. e.g. claims to be FREE but is really $39.95 unles you actually have the temerity to actually want updates... then it's REALLY $47.95 I say shove your Bs pricing where the sun don't shine guys. [alert admin]

OmniWeb 5.0 (Mac OS X)

Whats so great about it ?

I just tried it & I fail to see what all the gushing praise is about. It looks much like Safari but is less compatible & slower. It may have had a chance back when IE was the only browser shipped with MacOS but that time has passed. [alert admin]

Good for you! You just keep on using an abandonware rip off of a freeware news reader. That'll show 'em!
