Mozilla Firefox 3.6 beta 3 (Mac OS X)

Launches a lot faster!

I had to doublecheck to make sure this isn't 64-bit because it launches as fast as Apple's 64-bit apps now since I installed it last night (via Firefox 3.6b2's built-in updater). MacPro (2009) Quad-Core 3GB RAM/Mac OS X 10.6.2/Radeon HD 4870 ...and NO, libertyforall1776, it's NOT 64-bit, yet! [alert admin]

Apple Canon Print Drivers 2.2 (Mac OS X)

275MB for TWO Printer Drivers?

If I bought one of these printers I'd hunt down the specific drivers rather than go through a 275MB download... just my 2¢. [alert admin]

Adobe Flash Player 10.1.51.45 (Mac OS X)

To check if it installed correctly:

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html This page will query FlashPlayer and display your installed version number. I'm using this with Firefox 3.6b2 on an early 2009 MacPro Quad-Core/10.6.2, I've got NO issues with CPU usage here. [alert admin]

Hulu Desktop 0.9.7.3 (Mac OS X)

DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF IT'S 64-BIT!

*I* recommend Hulu Desktop not just because "it's available for Mac" but because I don't have to launch my browser and navigate to hulu.com. Let me elaborate based on VT's Rating system: Overall: 5-Stars because... Ease of Use: 5-Stars. This thing is relatively stupid-proof. The interface is easy to navigate. Searching is super simple which is why I gave Support / Documentation: 5-Stars. Beyond the System Requirements there's not much you have to read up on unless your plan includes reverse engineering the software! Quality / Stability: 5-Stars. In addition to the afore-mentioned it's never crashed and operates quite smoothly on my MacPro 2.66GHz Quad-Core (Early 2009) with OS X 10.6.2 - I tried it on my old MDD G4/1GHz/1GB RAM/Radeon 9800 Pro and it barely worked- it didn't crash, it stuttered along so I trashed it and went to hulu.com. Price: 5-Stars. What the hell beats no money out of pocket? I can't agree with "Free" because I believe having to sit through advertising isn't "Free" but throughout a regularly half-hour popular show you're going to have to put up with 2 to 3 thirty-second or less commercials... not nearly as bad as what I might have to using the television. There are less annoyances the less popular the program. OH YEAH- ...and it's not 64-bit! BIG FRIGGIN DEAL! [alert admin]

XBlaze 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Requires Leopard AND Adium 1.4b+

From plug-in page; Changes Xblaze 1.0 November 5th, 2009 Jasarien Holy cow! An Update?! Ladies and gentlemen, I proudly present to you Xblaze 1.0. I’ve rewritten Xblaze from the ground up as a brand new Adium plugin using the MacFire Xfire communication library (thanks to Archon). This means no more XfireLib. While XfireLib served Xblaze pretty well, it was responsible for 90% of its problems. Since XfireLib seems to have ceased active development, I decided it was time to move away from it. Xblaze 1.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and Adium 1.4 beta So what’s new? * Completely rewritten from the ground up * No more XfireLib o Xblaze now uses the foundation that MacFire was built on (Thanks Archon!) * No regression o Xblaze supports all the features that it did in previous versions * Multiple Accounts * Tightly integrated with Adium * Search for other Xfire users [alert admin]

VLC Media Player 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)

64-bit 1.0.2 but no 64-bit 1.0.3?

There appears to be no 64-bit version of 1.0.3, only Universal Binary, 32-bit Intel and PowerPC packages but no 64-bit version in their list. I kept the Intel version 1.0.3 because it differed from the UB version by about 40MB. I'm not 'town crying' like Liberty4all about there being no 64-bit version and I would definitely recommend VLC, but I find it odd that the last version had a 64-bit rendition and there is none now. Apple Xcode 3.2.1 (Mac OS X)

What's new, 3.2

From about_xcode_3.2.1 PDF; Xcode 3.2 developer tools for Mac OS X 10.6 has the following improvements: • Static code analysis is fully integrated within the Xcode IDE via the Build and Analyze option under the Build menu or via custom build settings • New Build Results window collects warnings and errors in a persistent log • GCC 4.2 is the primary system compiler for the 10.6 SDK • The next-generation LLVM compiler is included using two different front ends - the Clang compiler is a new, leading-edge front end that also provides the basis for the new static analyzer. For maximum compatibility, the GCC LLVM compiler utilizes the LLVM back-end with the GCC 4.2 front-end parser. • New template chooser and project assistants • New opening window for quick access to recent projects [alert admin]

New drivers show supply approximation, too!

Before if I had my MX860 turned off I could not check how much ink I had, now it's showed and noted as an approximation based upon the last time it was on-exact date and time displayed!

griff-2008, thanks!

Yes, I downloaded and ran this full install after reading your comment and have 10.26.1.0 drivers installed. It was 10.19.0.0 even after that 8.5MB driver update via Software Update! Judging from the numbering system I'd say it has to do with the CUPS version. Thanks again!

YouTube DOES work

You might want to uninstall the previous version before installing this one. Sometimes that is the case but YouTube absolutely works with this version of Flash.

Why don't you learn to program...!?

Maybe you can learn first-hand what you're crying over... you can release 64-bit everything yourself. WHERE'S THE 64-BIT VERSION FOR ATARI JAGUAR!? Oh yeah... 64-bit isn't synonymous with "better"...
