MyPopBarrier 2.5.9 (Mac OS X)
This application fills a very important gap. That to my knowledge exists in no other current app for the Intel Macs. I started getting no-stop messages from one user on one of my POP accounts I was checking on my iPhone. I'd delete 25, then 25 would take its place - all the same spam message. Even though my Mac is at home and on and set to delete from the server, these messages w/ their corrupt headers were persistent on the server. With MyPopBarrier, I was able to see that in one day, over 3000 of these identical messages were sent to my POP account. I was able to purge them and free my phone to receive real e-mails. I've also used this to login to my mom's Earthlink account to help her out. She's on dial-up and sometimes her friends send her these giant messages and they get stuck on the server and she can no longer get new mail. I use MyPopBarrier to login, purge the offending file and then she's able to check her mail like before. [alert admin]
