v1.0 was a bit buggy on my G5, but this v1.1 is just right :) Great little app! It does everything I need under the freeware license. Additional features are available for the paid/registered version. [alert admin]

VLC media player 0.8.6 (Mac OS X)

Crashes upon opening ANY kind of movie file

0.8.6 crashes upon opening ANY kind of file that I tried (DIVX, WMV, MOV, MPG, AVI, etc). Despite this current issue, these developers have done a great job with all previous versions:) Hope to see a fix for this soon! -Freelancelot [alert admin]

Crashes upon opening ANY kind of movie file

Ok, trashing the entire folder "~Library/Preferences/VLC" seems to have worked. It opens movies ok now. Thanks for the tip! :) -Freelancelot
