Little Snitch 2.0 (Mac OS X)

LS 2 Uninstall crashed my hard drive.

I d'loaded and installed the demo version of LS 2.0. I didn't like it and when I tried to uninstall it using the uninstall function in its installer it locked up my computer. On restart, my hard drive wouldn't mount. Luckily I have a very recent backup on a bootable FW drive so all turned out well. I doubt I'll try it again until the bugs are worked out. [alert admin]

PodWorks 2.9.2 (Mac OS X)

This is a great program.

I've tried various iPod utilities. Most are overpriced and some create more problems than they solve but Podworks does exactly what it's supposed to. For some reason, iTunes keep losing my songs and I use Podworks to restore it. I especially its ability to show missing songs in iTunes when compared to my iPod and its command to recreate a selected play list iTunes. For $8 it's a bargain. [alert admin]

PodWorks 2.9.2 (Mac OS X)

Works great for me.

I was looking for just such a utility and it worked flawlessly. I especially like the ability to copy individual playlists and their contained music files. Also, the price is low enough that I could try the complete program after paying for it and not be disappointed if it was not suitable. [alert admin]

iPod.iTunes 3.5 (Mac OS X)

Not satisfied with the way it works, too expensive.

I tried the trial version and accepted the fact that it would not copy all the songs from my ipod to itunes. Unfortunately, the songs it did copy were not put into my playlists. Instead they were all jumbled together in a playlist the program created. Perhaps I did not set it up properly. Instead I downloaded and bought Podworks which does what i need it to do (copy music from my ipod to itunes). Podworks allows copying of individual playlists in addition to the whole music library and at $8.00 is worth it to try the full version. Ipod.itunes is probably an excellent product. I just couldn't get it to work for me and 30 euros ($41.30 at current exchange rates) is too much to pay to try the full version. [alert admin]

FWB RealPC 1.1 (Mac OS 9)

I agree with…

luke (see review above). RealPC is a big improvement over SoftWindows. Installation is a breeze as was adding Windows98. It runs faster and can do more in the way of networking than it's predessors. [alert admin]
