Syrinx 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Just find the words "efficient workflow" and "Twitter" to be oxymoronic in context ;-) Twitter is the killer app for people with ADD..... [alert admin]

Apple AirPort 5.3.2 (Mac OS X)
The previous posters comment was the only clue I ever had to the problem I have with the PandoraJam app, which suddenly appeared after the February 08 updates. The workaround described still works - turn off AirPort. The thing that is strange is that when dual-connected (ethernet and Airport) the stutter still happens. Of course, if you are WiFi-only and streaming audio, you are pretty well screwed. (Macbook Pro). [alert admin]

Schreiberling 2.1.1 (Mac OS X)
So, I want to like this program, I have a full version I bought. It's main issues are: - no global search and replace - and fatally, it has no way to manually save, and no autosave. The program apparently only saves changes when the program is exited. I found this out the hard way when I lost at least 6 hours of work when my laptop crashed. Like many laptop users, I sleep the machine and leave everything running, so I had an extended work session open in Schreiberling. As it stands, it's a toy program, and I can't recommend buying it. StuffIt Expander 11.0.2 (Mac OS X)
The acquisition of this product by Smith Micro, purveyor of OEM packaged junk software, is appropriate. The most current verison of Stuffit Expander occasionally fails to extract the icon correctly from Zip archives, at least on Intel Macs. Apple's zip extractor handles this fine. This application basically went in the tank when Raymond Lau stopped working on it, which was 15 years ago ago. There is no reason to use SIT format archives any more, and the sooner those disappear, the quicker we can be free of this piece of bugware. [alert admin]

Ticker 3.1 (Mac OS X)
Wish I had kept my copy of the last 2.x version. The 3.x versions are unusable. You basically can only edit the items in the ticker list by deleting the plist file and inputting them all from scratch again. I really like the concept and the lightweight UI, it's a shame; understood that it's a free offering, but it would be nice if older versions might be made available, too. [alert admin]

Twitterrific 2.0 (Mac OS X)
Would be cool if it would use the defacto OS X standard for notifications. [alert admin]

MagiCal 1.09r3 (Mac OS X)
Been waiting for something like this since OS X came out, pretty much. MenuCal was buggy as all hell last time I tried it, and previous comment poster is welcome to enjoy paying for those. The condensed format day/month is brilliant, absolutely the best implementation I've seen. It does what I want, pop down a quick month calendar without having to wait 5 seconds for iCal to load on my G4, and has been completely stable for me. --fb [alert admin]

As previous 2 commenters note, much better known as the vocal organ of birds.
