G-Force 3.7.5 (Mac OS X)
So far superior to any of the iTunes visualizers, as to be indispensable after a very short period of use. This is a product I've never regretted buying, and one that I will continue to support. [alert admin]

Tangerine! 1.1 (Mac OS X)
The addition of presets in the playlists, which allows for selection by genres of music, iTunes playlists etc. makes for a greatly improved and more useful app. Now it's fun to tinker around with the slick UI. The playlist view is very polished, sort of like the clip viewer in iMovie, but as an album artwork bar chart. It was a little irritating that I wasn't able to change the value of the checkboxes on previously saved presets (such as "Do not allow duplicate songs" etc.) without invoking a new custom preset, but this is a minor issue. Upcoming releases are supposed to improve on the music analysis, which is needed at this point; the BPM algorithm made several mistake with my iTunes library, which were not multiple of 2 errors, and therefore not remedied by the option of doubling or halving the counts. Luckily there's a BPM calculator that allows for manual fine tuning and corrections. [alert admin]

=can't select within iTunes playlists. can't easily select from certain genres of music. For example, if I want to create a playlist within Tangerine that selects just House and Techno (leaving out all else), the only way to do this is to create rules in the preferences. Because the rules are exclusionary only, I end up having to do the following: "match ALL the following conditions", "genre IS NOT House", "genre IS NOT Techno". THIS is the way to get Tangerine! to select from my iTunes library only House and Techno... Ugh... Well, maybe part of the appeal for some is to end up with Coltrane crammed in there between Orbital and Kelis... Not for me, thanks. [alert admin]

Flip4Mac WMV 2.0.2 (Mac OS X)
It's almost August... and still no official intel compatible version... The universal binary seems to works well, so why not release it to the public? Is M$ dragging their feet ? Are there licensing issues? What's going on? [alert admin]

iAlertU 0.16b (Mac OS X)
Wouldn't it be better if there were no obvious signs that the program was in use... like that red target in the menu bar, or for that matter the constantly on iSight light... Why no just have the iSight turn on when the alarm is activated, and use a less obvious menu bar icon? [alert admin]

Temperature Monitor 3.7 (Mac OS X)
works on my MBP. Very nice and versatile. Wish there was a quick way to switch from full to lite version from the menu bar. [alert admin]

Google Earth 4.0.1563.0 (Mac OS X)
a great improvement running this as a UB on a macbook pro. new navigation is elegant and reponsive. fullscreen mode is also great. the only caveat is that there doesn't seem to be a way to set the image into a rotation (as opposed to simply rotating it). [alert admin]

WireTap Pro 1.2.0 (Mac OS X)
ok... so we've been waiting all this time for... an update to make wiretap "pro" run under rosetta?!!? that's what's taken six months to write?... what, between stretches of sipping mai tais in belize ;) ? Sure it runs fine under rosetta, but it's a processor hog. The indications that apple would release intel machines ahead of schedule were loud and clear; the dev team at ambrosia should have had a UB version of wiretap pro perhaps... hmm... around the time Audio Hijack Pro managed to go universal? needs integration with flip4mac
Flip4mac works with TF1, France 2, France 3... the list goes one, much longer than that short list. Perhaps it's time to update... or just bypass this applescript code alltogether and navigate to the streams manually...

Seems Relatively More Responsive
you can set the navigator to be always visible... it would be nice to have it at the bottom again ...

Why no warning that downloading the latest "universal" binary version of Thunderbird from this website will instead get you the PowerPC version? Here is the link for the universal binary: http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/all.html

Excuse me, but for a month there Snapz Pro was listed as compatible 10.2 and above, without any mention of there being a problem with 10.4. At the very least Ambrosia could have released a warning saying that the software was no longer functional on the most recent OS. But they didn't, and they continued to accept money from people. Ambrosia can release updates at whatever pace they want, but at the very least they…
