Railroad Tycoon 3.0 (Mac OS X)

Multiplayer is unusable, can't recommend

Multiplayer games are unusable. I emailed support over a year ago and they said an update was coming out. Yah right! Too bad, this game could be so cool. [alert admin]

Griffin AirClickUSB 1.0.7 (Mac OS X)

Cool

Thanks for the quick update that works with 10.4.9! I own a couple Griffin products and I'm sure I'll be owning more in the future. [alert admin]

Apple AirPort Base Station Update 2007-001 (Mac OS X)

HOW TO MAKE THIS WORK

For people (like me) that only have the AirPort Express (which is listed as support by this software) we can only update to AirPort 4.2. I understand that this has confused alot of people here that have AirPort Extreme base stations with AirPort Utility 5. THERE IS NOT AIRPORT UTILITY 5 FOR SOME OF US. EVEN THOUGH "AIRPORT EXPRESS BASE STATION" IS LISTED AS SUPPORTED WE CAN NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE. But now here's how: 1. Download this software and mount it. 2. Control-click on the install package, choose "Show Package Contents". 3. Go to Contents/Packages. 4. Now you can install the updated AirPort Admin Utility and the new AirPort Utility. Note: AirPortDisk.pkg is not needed for the AirPort Express or old AirPort Extreme. It's for the new AirPort Extreme's USB drive feature. --------------------WHAT THIS DOES-------------------- Before these directions: /Applications/Utilities/AirPort Admin Utility <-- Version 4.2. THIS WAS ALL! After these directions: /Applications/Utilities/AirPort Admin Utility for Graphite and Snow <-- Version 4.2.5. UPDATED! /Applications/Utilities/AirPort Utility <-- Version 5.1. NEW! Note: AirPort Admin Utility is now called AirPort Admin Utility for Graphite and Snow. ------------------------------------------------------------ AirPort Utility 5.1 does make a difference compared to AirPort Admin Utility 4.2. It is much nicer and easier to use. Finally! *roll eyes* [alert admin]

Apple AirPort Base Station Update 2007-001 (Mac OS X)

Ridiculous

"Note: Only previously installed software from the list above will be updated. AirPort Utility v5.1 for Mac OS X 10.4.x or later software supports the AirPort Extreme Base Station with 802.11n, AirPort Extreme Base Station and AirPort Express Base Station." "Product Requirements: Mac OS X 10.4 or later AirPort Utility 5.0" So who here actually has an AirPort Express (like me) and AirPort Utility 5.0? *pin drop* Apple, please get your interns off software release duty! GameRanger 4.6.7 (Mac OS X)

Do not use

The developer trolls the chat rooms as user "evill" looking for people to argue with, 1v1 with, etc. then ban them when they do not kiss his butt. Avoid GameRanger and then man-child developer. [alert admin]

Installation fix

My installation instructions were wrong, here's the new ones. (You may need to download and install The Unarchiver before doing this.) 1. Download this software and mount it. 2. Control-click on the install package, choose "Show Package Contents". 3. Go to Contents/Packages. Note: AirPortDisk.pkg is not needed for the AirPort Express or old AirPort Extreme. It's for the new AirPort Extreme's USB drive feature. 4. Control-click on AirPortUtility.pkg, choose "Show Package Contents". 5. Go to Contents/Packages. 6. Double-click on Archive.pax.gz. 7. It will uncompress…

Ridiculous?

"Question: So who here actually has an AirPort Express (like me) and AirPort Utility 5.0? Answer: Someone who uses both a new Port Extreme Base Station with 802.11n and a AirPort Express Base Station. It is not unusual to have a wireless network with more than one base station (like I have)." To clarify, you have AirPort Utility 5.0 because you have a "new Port Extreme Base Station with 802.11n" -- not because you have an…

Where did you get AirPort Utility 5.1? I can't even get AirPort Utility 5.0.

It did not come with AirPort Utility 5.0.

Uh?

Apple should rely less on their interns for software releases. I'm sure they think they're really smart and stuff, but that doesn't mean that in reality they are.
