Nikon Capture NX 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
How is it possible that this still isn't a universal binary? The intel machines have been out forever... [alert admin]

ABC Radio Widget 2.0 (Mac OS X)
Hmmm. Installed it twice, still not working. Problem 1: I flip it around and change the station and it never flips back to the front. Problem 2: When playing the default stream constantly shows it's loading and never plays. BTW I DO have RealPlayer installed on my G5 [alert admin]

Pray that the application works properly for you, because if doesn't the seller will call you retarded and then proceed to charge your credit card multiple times. [alert admin]

I just can't see how this program comes recommended. It's a good product, but there are such better programs out there, and this one tends to be flaky for me under XP. [alert admin]

iPod Agent 1.0.1 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
This product has been dumped by the developer. If you go to their site, they suggest using another product, called PodPlus. Kinda stinks, since I'd just paid for this app, and a week later the bailed it. [alert admin]

iPodbackup is just the right size application for non intrusive backup routine, on a device which you'll mount regularly anyway (to recharge and download podcasts to your iPod). I wrote a little howto/review and a tip about compacting of the backup images, you can read it here: http://www.xs4all.nl/~jlpoutre/BoT/Mac-OSX/ipod-backup.html [alert admin]

Ubuntu (The Breezy Badger) 5.1.0 (Mac OS X)
If you could actually download it
this looks cool however the bandwidth on their website (don't even get me started that you have to register to download) is atrocious..1k/s download...come on what's up with that....so they offer torrent links as an alternative...whee, no seeders what a pile of crap bleh! [alert admin]

Yes, RealPlayer is installed. BTW the BBC Radio Widget (which looks and works similarly) works fine. Oh well.

Something to try out: http://bibdesk.sourceforge.net/. It's quite a bit different, but useful too. It does have the option to download *.ris references and integrate them into the database. And best, it's open source software! I also found this link: http://www.sonnysoftware.com/. One programme is free, the other not.

So then you agree the unistall does not work and leaves behind some Daemon that there is no apparent way to uninstall?? Good god man, don't you realize how wrong this is? No one should install this turd. At least tell us how to get rid of the "SR" deamon as long as you are going to admit it you are installing it.

I don't know how the new quicktime hoses the finder, but it does. My guess is it's trying to preview some files that the finder thinks it can handle but it really can't. If I create an empty file called foo.swf, the finder chokes when the folder containing the file is opened. (And even after I reverted to qt6, it still freezes on Get Info, although I can't swear it didn't do that before I tried…

Most likely this was a piece of spyware on your friend's machine that targeted the Google Toolbar. We've seen this happen. Be sure to get the whole story and try a few machines before you blast a program. This is a great tool for most IE users. There's even a version for Firefox now.
