Transmission 1.74 (Mac OS X)
hmmm. Everything worked fantastic until 1.74, just a few days ago. This is the 1st time this program has given me ANY problems, however. [alert admin]

SafariBlock 2.2r1 (Mac OS X)
AWESOME! Works with Leopard & Safari 4 just fine ![]()

I don't know if it's the crack people are smoking, or what, but SafariBlock works great with OS X Leopard 10.5.8 & Safari 4.0.3. I used to 'mess around' with PithHelmet, found myself messing with its settings all the time just to get it to show a website correctly. Pure junk, but I hadn't tried anything else. When I finally tried SafariBlock, I was truly amazed. I'm trying to figure out where I can donate some money to this cause, because this is EXACTLY how a precision adblocker should work. Keep up the great work! SafariBlock is very, very simple. Just install with a few clicks & then simply USE SAFARI... That's it. It blocks all the crap, yet allows the websites to display how they were intended. Simple, simple. PithHelmet is a friggin' joke like PC's. [alert admin]

PithHelmet 2.8.5 (Mac OS X)
Finder window keeps popping up! ![]()

While browsing many websites (including THIS one), a Finder window will pop-up because PithHelmet blocked something. The Finder window takes the foreground focus & is very, very annoying and really defeats the purpose of speeding up the browsing & getting rid of pop-ups/ads. Just getting to where I type this took closing that Finder window 3 times. No way! This is a deal breaker for me. I could only imagine if I were to let someone use my computer. They'd get confused immediately with this behavior. It is for this reason that I cannot recommend this product. Also, disabling PithHelmet doesn't really disable it 100%. I shouldn't have to find it from within the Administrator's Library/App Support.... just to hack it or delete it temporarily to browse a site properly. [alert admin]

I just downloaded the game. I'm still in trial mode, but this game will be worthy of my $20. The online play is very fun & there are quite a few people to play with online. The gameplay is smooth & graphics/sound is simple, yet effective. Takes 2-3 minutes to learn how to play. Overall, a fun game and you can join in online play very quickly. [alert admin]

AirRadar 1.1.6 (Mac OS X)
Funny how it's now $9.95 & the author didn't take the time to edit "And the best part... it's free." STICK WITH 1.1.5 [alert admin]

Inquisitor 3.2 (v61) (Mac OS X)
YEA!! OMG, I was going nuts without Inquisitor's search abilities. Once you get used to it, you really have a hard time without it (like when using Safari 4). Thank god it's back - makes searching much easier & more accurate. [alert admin]

Safari 4 Modifier 0.1 (Mac OS X)
Works as advertised. VERY EASY - simple check boxes. It detected my current settings which I did manually using terminal. Hover over a check box & a balloon pops up with descriptive text. Overall, great! [alert admin]

GarageBuy 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)
Too bad the developer doesn't just abandon this software. That would free up time to FIX GARAGESALE'S BUGS!!! Instead of making GarageSale more stable & reliable, the developer feels that putting out more buggy software is the answer. GarageBuy doesn't do anything or help you win auctions, so what's the point? [alert admin]

CosmoPod 2.5 (Mac OS X)
Version 2.5 is even faster than previous versions. So not only is it the easiest (1-click) web video downloader, but is always improving WITHOUT slowing the program down! Cool! Worthwhile if you enjoy Youtube, Google Video, etc. Easy 5 stars. I've tried all the rest... [alert admin]

I agree. The developer has always gotten right back to me with precise information to get me all fixed up. Awesome when the service comes with the software, huh?

Oh WOW! I should have mentioned to get SafariBlock. I just installed that & it does exactly what you're looking for, but you don't have to be a hacker to use it. SafariBlock is very simplistic and works like PithHelmet used to work. One of the websites that PithHelmet always had trouble with was Yahoo. It couldn't decide what to block, so it would either not block something or block way too…

I agree. I had iSale & then bought GarageSale because of those constant bugs. GarageSale has a couple of quirks about it, too, but it is far better at ACCURATELY adding your auction to eBay (w/o you having to go to eBay & make corrections after submitted by iSale). I usually don't have to mess with auctions at all on eBay now.

Do a search for "Safari 4 fix tabs" or "Safari 4 hidden preferences" and you'll find out how to change many "hidden preferences".

Dude, Safari 4.0 BETA just came out hours ago. You can't expect ALL of your plugins will work with an entirely new build of Safari. And it is, after all, a beta. Be patient & don't use beta software.
