Books 3.2.5c (Mac OS X)

I registered on this site just to review this program. It's exactly what I was looking for, and you can't beat the price (free). Not exactly as intuitive as it could be (took me a while to figure out how to sort by fields other than the title), and the search is still a little wonky (it would not come up with the common, mass-market paperback edition of a popular book on a title search - I had to use the ISBN #), but overall it's already proved to be very handy. Still rudimental

Have you tried right-clicking along the top of the entries, where it says Title? A list should pop up with all of the fields (including Author) you can sort by.
