Great! - it reminds me a lot of TextEdit, but with more features. Often times I need to paste graphics and text from NYT for printouts. This app allows me to remove annoying highlighting in NYT blogs with with ease -- thanks to the author. [alert admin]

macps2pdf is also extremely useful
Converts ps->eps, fixes eps, does all kinds of other conversions. Very useful for TeX, etc. The author gave me an unlock code, after I paid my shareware fee, in 2003 and it still works, two full versions later. PS Viewing is much faster than with Preview and Xwin and allows to zoom in on parts of the figure with a click of the mouse. To me, the package has been indispensable. [alert admin]

MDict 5.6.4 (Mac OS X)
Excellent, but problems with v. 5.6.4...
Online update 5.5.5 -> 5.6.4 broke the program on iMac G3 and PB G4, 10.3.9. (Tries to launch and quits - reverted back to 5.5.5). On MB Intel 10.4.8, v. 5.6.4 runs fine. [alert admin]

Just what the doctor ordered - I really needed this one!
One quirk though: when I first launched Camouflage and asked it to show icons from the menu bar, it didn't do it but opened the Desktop Folder in a new Finder window instead. Quitting and relaunching the program solved this. [alert admin]

Use hfstar instead of standard tar - it preserves the resource fork. Use Freetar as a GUI - it allows to specify Unix executable (hfstar) in Prefs.

I had a 3.0 updated to 3.0.2 . When 3.0.3 came out, I updated the same 3.0 to 3.0.3. Interestingly, 3.0.2 would boot my aluminum PB and mac mini, but 3.0.3 does not. What gives?
