So far 6.0.204 works perfectly for me. Was able to back up and restore flawlessly from DVD-R. The interface has NOT gotten any more complicated since version 5.1 as one reviewer stated. In fact I find the new options/preferences to be logically placed. Fundementally it's the same interface as version 5.1. Granted you have to jump around a little to find all the options, but that hasn't changed any since 5.1. As for the claims that they are more interested in Windows? If you look at what drives are compatible with Retrospect you will see that there are far more drives listed as QUALIFIED for Mac as opposed to those very same drives being UNTESTED under Windows. I would however recommend reparing disk permisions before every back up. My System: Dual 2.5 G5, Using Apple 4x DVD-R media. [alert admin]

Data Rescue Classic 4.2.1 (Mac OS 9)
60 gig with SERIOUS media damage in the critical area of the drive (boot sectors, directory structures, etc). Norton wouldn't even see the disk. DiskWarrior (an outstanding product regardless) could not rebuild the directory. Total Recall's Virtual Lab could see the drive, but would NOT scan it on any setting. I was about to give up. I downloaded the demo and the scan showed me all my files with folder structure intact. I recoved one file to test it. Worked perfectly. Then I purchased it to unlock the recovery of all my other files. Got back about 10 Gigs worth of data ( it missed about 15 files out of 4325 because of the media damage). You've got nothing to lose by d/l the demo if you have major drive trouble and need to recover. And at $89 it's thousands less than sending your drive off to some expensive recovery company.
