Little Snitch 2.0 beta 6 (Mac OS X)
This beta version does not preserve the user defined rules created within version 1.x. This is a little annoying. However there seems to have been some great work done by these developers and I look forward to the final version. My 1.x serial was also deleted and I had to re enter it. No biggy. [alert admin]

SafariPlus 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)
The "remove all non-favourites" button causes Safari 3.0.2b to freeze under OS 10.4.10. Safari has to be force quit to stop this behaviour. [alert admin]

CornerClick 0.8 (Mac OS X)
This is an absolutely first rate addition to the Active Screen Corners functionality of OS X. Instead of the dock I now use this to launch all of my regularly used apps. [alert admin]

Adobe Reader 8.0 (Mac OS X)
Hack to stop Adobe Reader 8 from adding Help Viewer and Updater to Applications folder
First open /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/RdrENU80SelfHeal.xml and Adobe Reader.app/Contents/MacOS/RdrENU80SelfHeal.xml in a suitable text editor (i.e. one with find and replace). Backup both files before you make any changes. In both files change all Updater and Help Viewer<key>to<key/><string>...<string/> values to their corresponding <key>from<key/><string>...<string/> values. The 'from' values look like <key>from</key><string>Contents/MacOS/SelfHealFiles/Applications/Utilities/Adobe Utilities.localized/Adobe Updater5/Adobe Updater.app/Contents/Resources/...<string/> and <key>from</key><string>Contents/MacOS/SelfHealFiles/HelpViewer/Adobe Help Viewer 1.0.app/Contents/...</string> respectively. Save these changes. Now when Adobe Reader opens it attempts to heal its own self heal files, so it doesn't change anything. You can now delete the Help Viewer from the Applications folder and the Updater from the Utilities folder and they won't return. [alert admin]
