Pando 2.1.5.5 (Mac OS X)
First it crashed repeatedly when downloading a file. I trashed the Pando preference file, which at least stopped the crashing. Now the download just stalls. This is miserable software. [alert admin]

ReceiptWallet 2.0.6 (Mac OS X)
Updating my prior review...price is right
After using this program for some time now I'd like to revise what my comment about the price: it's certainly worth the fee the developer is asking when you consider how well this program performs when keeping all of your papers in one instantly searchable place. Using categories and smart folders together really makes this app shine. A competing app uses a "tags" approach to organization which, though it would seem to be a better approach, I found to be rather cumbersome and provided me less organizational control. The developer really listens to the customer, and that's a huge plus. [alert admin]

Works very well. Pricing probably a bit high for most. ![]()

I really like this app. $40 is a bit pricey, though (worth it to me but probably better priced at $25 for most others). I'm using this app with the Fujitsu ScanSnap S300M scanner, which also works very well). [alert admin]

This app doesn't provide access to the "Instant" viewing queue? Blah. [alert admin]

Firefox 3.0 (Mac OS X)
A few suggestions that might work if you're having some issues. 1) Go to Firefox's preferences, go to the Advanced tab, then click on the Network Tab and click on the "Clear Now" button to clear your (potentially corrupted) cache. 2) Create a new Profile Folder (only if you're comfortable mucking around down a few levels into your User files). First, write down or screen capure your current list of Add Ons (extensions). Quit Firefox and then navigate to: (home folder)>Library>Application Support>Firefox. Drag the Profile inside that folder to your Desktop (don't delete it!) and then restart Firefox. A new, untainted Profile is created. Quit Firefox. Now drag back some of your important stuff from your old Profile folder to your new Profile folder: bookmarks, cookies, signons, etc. Do NOT drag back your old extensions, it's best to reinstall those from scratch. For those extensions that you just gotta have but Firefox won't allow you to install them, here's a tip: Open up a new window in Firefox and enter in the URL field "about:config" (no quotes). Control-click anywhere and select "New>String". Type "extensions.checkCompatibility" (no quotes) and select "False" as the value. Restart Firefox. Now Firefox won't stop you from installing "older" extensions, though some of those older ones may not function properly, obviously. I have some older "incompatible" extensions that work just fine in Firefox 3. [alert admin]

SketchBox 1.4 (Mac OS X)
Simply dragging the note windows around my dual monitor setup feels like they're stuck in molasses. Needs improvement! [alert admin]

SunnyMenu 1.22 (Mac OS X)
Alternative: FruitMenu beta is available for Leopard
Just a note that FruitMenu is back for those running Leopard, and it's working fine on my Mac Pro with no weirdness or stability issues. SunnyMenu and the like are great for those that avoid problems that haxies can potentially cause. [alert admin]

I use this app a lot every day. With the Apple Menu crippled as an application launcher I use You Control's "File System" module to create an organized file list that allows me to navigate through all of my folders -- just like the original Apple Menu. I also use the clock / calendar module to show both date and time at a glance, something that apparently was beyond the capabilities of Apple's programmers. The Mail module allows me to quickly scan my email inbox without bringing Mail to the front. Overall, one of my favorite programs. [alert admin]

iListen will be discontinued and replaced with Macspeech Dicate very soon. Seems that this new for the Mac program uses better speech recognition technology. [alert admin]

I meant to say "extensions", not "plugins" for Firefox.

You really should move on over to Firefox 3. It's very stable, and with a few plugins, you have a browser that's vastly superior compared to Safari. I also used Saft with Safari a couple of years ago and it was too painful to deal with.

Flux 1.0. As a 1.0 it's a toy compared to Freeway Pro. Stop promoting other software with baseless claims and false statements.

Works for me, price is insane...
Weird....I assigned 3 stars and 4 stars shows up. I suppose the inevitable negative reviews from others will balance this out.

So I must assume to be consistent in your life you personally give your labor/products away for free by day and then scavenge the garbage cans for food by night. Your thinking is neither rational or original, simply boring. Pathetic how original thinkers create something of value only to have cheap bast---d bottom feeders like you come along hoping to scavenge it for free.

Ridiculous. You obviously enjoy using this program yet you still want it for free. How many songs do you have on your hard drive for FREE because of this program? The $15 shareware fee is clearly justified for the benefits provided. As far as the name is concerned...what a trivial issue!
