FolderGlance 2.5.0 (Mac OS X)
installed on my 13" macbook (10.6.1). works great here, let's me navigate my drive, open apps...all the while using the full screen (i hide my dock with another great app, dock gone). have a list of apps, a divider, than folders. then a few files, and applescripts for sleep, restart, shutdown. brilliant! i used fruitmenu back in the day; this is better, lighter, easy. Pastor 1.8.1 (Mac OS X)
all is well here, after my previous post (thanks to speedy response from the developer). my pastor file was opening (as garbled code) with textedit; re-connected it to pastor, and all is well... this happened right after installing 10.6 FYI. [alert admin]

i've bought soundconverter 3 times, for 3 different macs. am on a new macbook (my previous powerbook died), and emailed the developer to see about at least considering giving me a new license for this mac...and never heard back. even a 'no' reply is better than no reply! disappointing... have used this app forever... and working great here on my new macbook... love this app for it's diagnostic capabilities, but also for customizing things (like the dock, or putting a phone# and "REWARD" on the login screen. [alert admin]

Dashboard KickStart 2.3 (Mac OS X)
since installing this on 2 macs (intel, G4), running leopard... seems Spaces stalls, then, after a few tries, works. am uninstalling kickstart, will see if it makes a difference. [alert admin]

items all show up in the 'more' menu. would be much more efficient in the main contextual menu (and yes, i have no idea if that is difficult to implement). a great app, tho (as i was waiting for fruitmenu). will def play with some more (just downloaded!) [alert admin]

it IS great... i have started hiding my dock, so i can use my 12" powerbook fullscreen (photoshop, logic, etc) having a menubar readout is totally useful..!

there are lots of other options: hiding the dock BEHIND windows (great for me with using some apps fullscreen on a 12" powerbook) locking icons in the dock; showing hidden files, or system files; other things (i've tried & don't use...but useful for someone...)

8pm, and trying again, no luck. am on 10.3.8, using safari. i tried unchecking "open safe files" in prefs, etc. also tried to access http://solewood.atspace.com/ directly, and would not load. not sure why, but everything else is working...
