Synk Pro 6.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Great App, Responsive Developer

I had some problems early-on (noted in comment below). I contacted the developer who worked with me to troubleshoot the issue. Ultimately it was an unusal situation in my system setup, and he was able to get to the root of it. Now that the application is working correctly, it is such a pleasure to use. It is very simple to work with, very intuitive, and quite nicely thought out. I was able to get the application working without reading any manuals or instructions and it functions quite well. Best backup application I have tried thus far. In addition, it was a pleasure to have the developer so integral to my success. He was extremely responsive and helpful. [alert admin]

Synk Pro 6.0.2 (Mac OS X)

False Errors?

I am impressed by the interface simplicity and overall look of the program. However, upon execution, it found a number of errors with the backup, which translated to most of the files not being backed up. I ran the script 3 times and every backup found more errors, thus copying less files. I got info on both the backup directory and the original directory and the file sizes and number of files were different. Then I ran RsyncX on the same folder and did a "get info" directory compare and it came out perfect. Not sure what this means, but it is worth noting. Because the interface is so nice, I really hope this company can make the application correctly back-up items soon. As I would love to give them my money for a backup solution. [alert admin]

FontAgent Pro 3.1 (Mac OS X)

Much faster

before 3.1 my 10,000+ font library was so slow it was unusable. 5 minutes+ to load the app and horribly slow scrolling/searching. Immediately after the upgrade it too seconds to load the app without changing anything about my font library. [alert admin]

Playcount increase?

Great app!!! I noticed that when syncing, SyncTunes automatically bumps the playcount up one no matter wether it has been played or not, is there a way to fix this? Other than that one minor issue, the software runs flawlessly! [alert admin]

TiVo Desktop 1.9 (Mac OS X)

Feedback

I too am getting sick of waiting, of being a second-class citizen in TiVo's eyes, so I wrote an email to every address I could find on their website with the same letter of disgust. I was amazed when I got feedback from someone later that day! I recommend that everyone write a letter letting them know how important this is to the Mac community. Here is my correspondance with a person at TiVo: http://www.garden2.net/share/archives/000412.html Here are the email contacts which I sent letters to: http://www.tivo.com/5.9.asp (down near the bottom there are links for media inquiries, dealer hotline, investor relations, and webmaster) [alert admin]

Interchange-O-Mat 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Seems broken with iTunes 4.7 (41)

Maybe it is just me, but no matter what tracks I select now, it tells me that I need to "select some funky tracks" in order to operate the script. Please, someone help! [alert admin]

Fantastic Prodcut from a Fantastic Company

Everything I have been using Konfabulator Widgets for, with 1/4 the system usage. Just perfect, and I have high hopes that it will only get better and more diverse from here. [alert admin]

Works fine for me.

Works fine for me. Corrected a few bugs with v2.3 on my Deskjet 9650, however I just bought the thing, so I don't have much real-world data to compare against (just one test photo). Of note, does anyone kow how to add a postscript RIP software to the Deskjet 9650? [alert admin]

TiVo Desktop 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Experiencing Issues

Home Media Option is definately a step in the right direction. I love the features offered by this little application (although I woudl love an expanded version) and the interface is very straight forward. However, there is a SERIOUS issue with this little app hogging resources. On my 450mhz G4 Sawtooth it will take around 40% of my processor at all times when just sitting idle. I didn't figure it out until I installed Panther, but now I know why my machine was always so sluggish. Aside from this, it is a very good idea. Lets hope they fix the problems soon. [alert admin]

iTunes-BPM Inspector 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Fantastic Program

Does the job perfectly and it's free. My only complaint is more of "wishful thinking" though. It would be amazing if this (or any other application) could more automatically calculate the beats for me. I do think that is impossible, so this is a perfect solution otherwise. Suggestion: It would be nice to have key commands. [alert admin]

0-byte files.

i have this issue too, however, it seems that if i leave the tivodecode app on my desktop and choose the location to download to every single time, then it does download correctly... i am sure there is a wacky bug in there, but that seems to work for me until they get it fixed.
