Adium 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)
Missing Mobile Icon indicator in Quicktime.
This is really a great app, Been using it at work and home for many years. But when using it in Sametime at work, it's really behind the times not being able to display Mobile Icons. In other words, I can't tell when some of my contacts are on their phone's or Mac's. Adium has this feature for the AOL client, and maybe other services, but it's really really needed for Sametime. I placed a request on the Adium support site for the feature over a year ago, and the ticket has not been updated in 8 months. I really really need this feature !! Thanks, Eric [alert admin]

WeatherBug Lite 1.0b1 (Mac OS X)
Menu item Temp readout not updating correctly
About 2 months ago, the temp readout in my menu bar starting to be intermittent. Was not receiving the correct updated. Some times it gets it right, but 90% of the time, it has stale data. I've emailed the company a month ago with the problem, but never heard back. Wondering if there is some cache I need to clear out and/or reset to get the menu bar working again. I'm running the current 1.0b1 on a current OS Mac PB. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks ET [alert admin]

Snapz Pro X 2.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Re: Why does SnapzPro try to connect to a .mil server? -
I don't think it was Snapz trying to to connect. The mil node looks like a internal NTP server. This is what your mac would connect to when syncing time if you were internal to that military branch. I see this as a mis configuration rather then a threat. Check your time preferences and determine the server you use to get time. Now, if you were running Windozs, I would have a different answer, because UDP 123 IS an attack vector for some viruses. [alert admin]

CiphSafe 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)
I've been using this for years and have a pretty large database now. It's a great little app, but I too am a bit nervous about how compatible it will be in the future. It would also be nice to be able to export in a standard format. (rather then copy/paste).. [alert admin]

Google Earth 4.0.2093.0 (Mac OS X)
Version 4.0.2093 works great for me, running on a G3 PB 1.67 with current OS. May even be less jumpy then 4.0.1694. Thanks Google! - ET [alert admin]

Meteorologist 1.4.4 (Mac OS X)
For users that experienced the missing menu bar icon, and or users experiencing crashes, try deleting the preference, then restart Meteorologist. This worked for me. My temp icon has been missing for months, but when I deleted: file: ~/Library/Preferences/com.heat.meteo.plist my problems were all cleaned up [alert admin]

CiphSafe 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)
Light, and solid as a rock and FREE. Easily sync 2 files from different computers with a copy paste. The only features I'd like to see added is a sort by date, and a field to define where the backup lands. (currently on my DT) . [alert admin]

Mine stopped also. Thanks for the reports. So far, this is the only app that the security patches have killed.

Not being able to delete the downloaded file objects is a pretty serous inconvenience, and I've not seen any action from the developer since it was brought to their attention Mid Nov 2004. Really looking fwd to that management tool!! I've reviewed 5 other podcast clients, and iPodderX is the best in my opinion. Mainly because of the onboard player, and being able to sort the object list by date, file, entry, title, just the way…

Powered KVM switches or leaving the monitor attached seems to be the only solution for controlling the OC with a Mac. The powered KVM seems to work the best for us now. Also V7.0 4 seemed to fix the 7.0.3 freeze seen on the Mac. Still think it's an excellent product!! -etgeek
