MarcoPolo 2.3 (Mac OS X)

Fantastic Utility!

I have been using MarcoPolo for about 4 or 5 months now and I absolutely love it. It makes handling moving from one network to another an absolute breeze and completely automatic. It automatically changes between my wifi networks and my 3G wlan card when I insert the card. It includes things like changing SMTP servers for different networks which network locations does not do. I highly recomend this utility for laptop users. [alert admin]

JollysFastVNC 0.86 (Mac OS X)

Very fast!!

I really like where JVNC is going. It is really fast! I also like the screen scaling so when I connect to a higher res machine it is scaled to the window (I love this feature). I have found JVNC to already be very stable and highly usable. I find this a great improvement over other clients, especially the speed. Great to see a new vnc client on OSX. [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 3.0 Build 5060.0 (Mac OS X)

Runs Great

I have been using Parallels since it came out and have been very happy with it. I also have Fusion and am also happy with it. I have not had any problems with Parallels and do not understand why there is all these problems that are described here. I have been using a Parallels VM to run a video server app on my macmini for about 12 months with no issues at all. I have Fusion running on my Macbook Pro and it works very well also. I think maybe Fusion is a little faster possibly but it is only marginal. I have always been a fan of vmware products and run workstation on linux and that is why I have Fusion. If Parallels had not been so quick to bring out their product I don't think we would have seen Fusion in such a short timeframe. It is great to see the competition here so we get two great products. Fusion is great if you want to run lots of different types of O/Ss both will run Windows great. I have no comment on game performance as I don't really play PC (Windows) games. [alert admin]

Dock Clock 2.0.0 (Mac OS X)

Nice idea but......

If you want someone to review this software.... you need to let people look at what you can offer in the dock without having to register. Until you make this Universal and let me select more than the default appearance I am less than impressed. Sorry... try writing this in cocoa so you can get around Real Basics problems...... Adobe Reader 8.0 (Mac OS X)

Works Great (PPC Version)

I have now installed and used on my iMac G5 and it works great. It's much faster than v7 and much nicer to look at. I have now installed on my MacBook Pro (C2D) my iMac G5 and my Mac Mini without any problems or crashes mentioned by others here. The only problem I have had is that it does not work with Firefox which is not a big deal for me. I have also installed for my virtual win xp install under Parallels and that also works great. I really like the changes to the interface. I hope CS3 is as big an improvement as this is in particular... **speed**. I don't get why it is such a big deal that this is not a Universal Binary. At least it keeps the size of the binary on the intended machine down. It is still 100MB! [alert admin]

Adobe Reader 8.0 (Mac OS X)

Works Great

Installed on my MacBook Pro and it works great. Only downside is there does not seem to be a plugin for Firefox as yet. I use Safari most of the time so this is no great problem for me. This version of Reader seems to be a great deal faster than v7. I suppose it should be as it is now Intel native. I like the new way the plugin displays documents much nicer than earlier versions. I have not tried v8 on my iMac G5 yet so cannot comment on the PPC version. [alert admin]

RadioSHARK 2.0b21 (Mac OS X)

Works great for me.

I installed the beta and it works great for me. Don't mind the new interface.... I think it is better than the old one. It would be nice if you could close the main window and just control it from the dock icon. Nice to see the update. [alert admin]

works fine for Windows Xp

Just go to bootdisk.com and you can get floppy and cd images there for most windows versions.
