DC30 Xact Driver 1.6.1 (Mac OS X)

Amazing software but broken in FCP 5

I have captured many hours of high quality video thanks to this driver with FCP 3, 4.1 & 4.5 HD. Currently using Xact 1.6.1 with a miroMOTION DC30+ on a QuickSilver G4 867MHz with 1.5GB RAM running OS X Server 10.4.2 and I have just upgraded to Final Cut Pro 5. I have found it is not possible to enable sound preview when capturing video (the option for this seems to have disappeared, has it moved?) Also the captured video won't appear in the Viewer Window but you can here the sound when you play the footage. If you click on another tab, then click on the video tab again the image of the other tab stays in the window. Can replicate the bug on my PowerBook G4 17" 1.33GHz running OS X 10.4.2, Xact driver 1.6.1 with FCP 5. Otherwise PERFECT with FCP 4.5 HD or older versions. [alert admin]

Very impressive software!!!

Last Sunday I erased my entire home directory (with "/bin/rm -rf /Users/$1") and replaced it with a default setup while experimenting with a Perl script. Tried Norton Unerase for OS X with no success and then took the drive to New Zealand's 'premiere' data recovery company and they failed to find a single lost file. Then I found this gem and I RECOVERED VIRTUALLY ALL FILES!!!!!!! A few Mail mbox files were corrupt but I can live with that. What a fantastic piece of software! It recovered 5 years of support email digests and other data critical to my job. This it a worthy addition to any Mac Tech's tool box. [alert admin]

Mozilla 0.9.8 (Mac OS 9)

has great promise…

but is a piece of crap. NOW how is this for a bug... i have two 17" monitors and everytime a use Mozilla the 2nd screen goes blank!!! can see the mouse move around the 2nd screen but nothing else. How do i reach this concliusion? I stop using Mozilla for 2 weeks at a time and all is fine, THEN 1st time i use it after this period in time, the f***ing 2nd screen goes blank!!! PLEASE FIX THIS BUG or it is back to IE (YIKESSSS) [alert admin]
