Safari Prairiefire 1.3.1 (Mac OS X)

Could not even download it!

I tried on two separate occasions to download this app to my MacBook 2 GHz Intel Core Duo with 2 GB memory and on both occasions the "mounting failed" for who knows what reason. I had really looked forward to getting this because of the condition of my bookmarks. Oh well. [alert admin]

OnyX 1.8.1b1 (Mac OS X)

User of OnyX since OS 8.6 or earlier

I have successfully and gratefully used OnyX for a very long time to keep my various Macs running perfectly. The only thing it did not do (because it was not meant to) was warn me of an impending hard drive crash on my lime iMac. I am eternally grateful to the developers of this wonderful utility and highly recommend it to any and all who wish to keep their Macs running well in spite of all the silly things we sometimes do to them. Not to mention that the price is most definitely right! I am downloading this beta update to run on my MacBook, running OS X 10.4.9 with 2 GB Ram -- the 10.4.10 would not load! [alert admin]

Apple Security Update 2007-006 (Mac OS X)

CANNOT EVEN GET IT TO INSTALL

This little old lady has been "playing with" Macs since the early 1980's. I am now "running" a MacBook. Saturday night I attempted to download and install the update via Software update; unfortunately, it took over 8 hours with my slow dial up -- only thing available to me in the wilds of Arizona -- and I did not wake up in time to catch the asinine, stupid Apple confirmation dialogue -- do you want to install this application" so the whole thing aborted and all that time was wasted. Last night I downloaded it again, laboriously thru the stand alone "dmg" link. Guess what? It will not install! due to a "codec" overrun. Guess I am not meant to have this 10.4.10 update!
