Elgato Turbo.264 1.3 (Mac OS X)

Getting better

At least they're working on improving this app - still not as feature rich as handbrake and the like, it gets better with each release! BTW: The Turbo.264 hardware works completely as advertised! [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 3.0 Build 5600.0 (Mac OS X)

Still has issues...

Can't get a simple USB to DB9 cable to actually communicate from WinXP, Linux support only for older distributions and graphics support completely lacking (VESA only), and doesn't support multi-processor. Oh yeah - no phone support either. It's nice for everyday stuff, but try to get some real work done and you quickly hit the wall. [alert admin]

Corripio 0.7.2 (Mac OS X)

Needs a lot of work

Great idea, nice look/feel & implementation, but needs a ton of work yet! Early Alpha would be closer to where this app is at... [alert admin]

Apple iLife 08 (Mac OS X)

Utter crap, don't waste your $$

I'm not even going to bother going over what everyone else has already said. I can't believe that Apple release this P.O.S. [alert admin]

DEFCON 1.4.2 (Mac OS X)

Addicting!!

One of the most addicting games I've ever played - strategy at its finest!!! There are a few of the typical new software bugs still hanging around and there are trolls out there in multiplayer that can ruin a game since there are no in game tools to get rid of them, but aside from that - worth every penny! Apple Safari 3.0b (Mac OS X)

Rotten Apple

PB G4 12" 1.5Ghz 10.4.9 - Much slower than 2.0.4 at loading pages, crashes frequently, overall a bad beta. [alert admin]

A great update all around. No problems on a PB G4 1.5. [alert admin]

iSale 3.2 (Mac OS X)

Don't get suckered

Oh, if I had only known the severe limitations of this program before I purchased it (tried the demo, seemed slick). Don't be fooled. There's some nice eye candy, but hardly any substance. Unless you plan on doing anything other than the occasional eBay listing - stay away from this program. [alert admin]

Google Earth 4.0.1694.0 (Mac OS X)

Downgrade??

New interface is great, but the speed is much slower now. WORST PART: Images that used to render perfectly at low altitude are now unusable, blurry, pixelated junk. Hoping this is just a bug and not a 'pay $20 to get the Plus version' in order to get usable images :-( Sorry, but I've got to give this one an overall of 1 star. [alert admin]

Don't get suckered

Sure - but, ironically, it's a short list: Pick an eBay feature. Practically any eBay feature. Now try to take full advantage of it through iSale. Good luck. (For comparison - take a look at the FREE software that eBay offers for PC users & the Blackthorne software. While they have their own issues, this program is a simple toy compared to them)

It's just an ornament!

Wasn't putting down the time & effort put into the program. I actually think it looks very cool! I'd even wager that if it worked like a real lava lamp that you could make a small sum if it was donation ware! I can imagine the algorithms would be quite complex compared to a rising bubble, but I'll bet they're out there somewhere :-)

PowerBook 867 12" Fan

Oh yeah - what's up with the reboot taking forever? The menu bar stuff takes a hell of a long time to load too...
