e2Sync Tiger 2.7 (Mac OS X)

We're committed to continued development

Microsoft's new built in sorta-kinda-sync ability has arrived. As people have quickly discovered, it is hard to find how it could actually be used to increase productivity considering it's extreme limitations. So we just wanted to let our current customers, and those considering purchasing e2Sync, that we are completely committed to continued development of our professional sync solution. With the new update to iSync, and with this new update to e2Sync, we have a best-of-class solution that works consistently, fast, and without some of the issues e2Sync had in its infancy. e2Sync is a mature product, perfect for business users who demand that an application just work. If you have used e2Sync in the past and found problems, please accept our apology, and try e2Sync now. We think you'll like it! :) Remember to use the discount code TASIB06 to pay just $27.30! Ulysses 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)

Users not given control, developer insist you do things THEIR way!

Was trying several apps over the last few days and I think I'll choose CopyWrite instead. Not only because it's 1/4 the price of Ulysses, but because the developer is friendly and responds to you in a friendly tone.

The italics issue is systemic of the problem with Ulysses. Ulysses decides for you how you do things. So forget about anything else you may consider adding to the program, unless Ulysses think you should have it, you won't get it. You will get a good spiel though on how you really don't need that feature!! [alert admin]

e2Sync Tiger 2.5.3 (Mac OS X)

Why e2Sync works for most and fails for some...

It's a shame people don't read the manuals. Our product is a simple product, but it does very complex things, and it needs to be installed correctly. Sorry that it's not just a case of double click and it's done. If you fail to follow the instructions, you're probably going to lose or corrupt your most precious data. There's not a lot to do, and it's not complex, it just needs to be followed step by step. Many people trying e2Sync are using iSync for the first time. Sorry, but if you go and look at Apple's own forums, you'll see that iSync is very buggy. We have to work with iSync. People complaining of Entourage freezing because of a script warning, duplication, nothing coming from Entourage, 'no device found' errors, not all categories syncing, and nothing syncing, are the result of people trying our software before reading the manual and following the precise installation instructions. Treo users especially have trouble, because iSync just plain does not like Treos. It is NOT an e2Sync bug. If e2Sync is transferring data into iCal and AddressBook, e2Sync is working perfectly. In our development and testing environment, we have 100% success every single time we install e2Sync. There is a reason for this - we know what we're doing. That's why we include the manual, so you can do it the same as we do it, and you'll have 100 success too. If you create a working sync relationship between your device and iSync/AB/iCal, adding e2Sync will work. We 30-day-money-back guarantee it. But don't add e2Sync until you have that good sync relationship working, or OF COURSE e2Sync is not going to work, it's not a miracle healer for iSync's issues, it's not going to repair the problem if your device is not already syncing correctly. Follow the instructions and it will "just work". [alert admin]

e2Sync Tiger 2.0b25 (Mac OS X)

Beta 25 is a wonderful release!

We recommend you try beta 25 if e2Sync has not worked for you in the past. We have only a few remaining bugs, and none of them are serious and they won't affect most users. As you can see above, we've fixed a huge number of bugs in the last 3 weeks. A release version is less than 2 weeks away. [alert admin]

e2Sync Tiger 2.0b21 (Mac OS X)

Reminder: THIS IS A BETA!!

Guys, this is a beta! A beta is a product known to have bugs! You DON'T slam a product for having bugs when it is released with the knowledge that it has bugs! Please stop leaving such poor reviews, you're not commenting on a release version but a public beta, please remember that. If something does not work right for you, wait for the next release. e2Sync Personal 1.3.4 (Mac OS X)

Tiger version nearly ready to pounce

Hi folks. Sorry about the wait for the Tiger version. It is almost finished and will be released by June 3rd at the latest. Because of some of the negative feedback we've been getting, we just wanted to make sure what we release is simply a wonderful product. Please remember that there is little data as precious as your contacts and calendars. We would have to be insane to rush a product out that handles your most precious data in anything but a perfect manner. One minor bug can cause major headaches. So please bare with us as we get e2Sync 2.0 Tiger to the point where we feel it is right to release it. You're going to be THRILLED with 2.0! e2Sync [alert admin]

e2Sync Personal 1.3.4 (Mac OS X)

Tiger version coming within a few days

The negative reviews here are a little odd, and I'll comment on those in a bit. For now, we'd like to let you all know that our Tiger version will be released within days. Because of radical (and good) changes Apple has made to iSync, e2Sync 1.3.4 breaks under Tiger. This has meant a bit of a wait as we rewrite e2Sync from the bottom up. There's some great news though. In this process, we've discovered that many of the bugs we were struggling to fix were not our bugs but bugs in iSync. Apple has fixed many of these issues in iSync 2.0 (Tiger). What this means for you, is a much better product. We're only a few days away from releasing a public beta of 2.0, and we should have a release build just a week later. In this new build, we have also extended category support, so you may simply choose the Entourage categories you'd like to sync, and this applies not just to contacts anymore, but tasks and events as well. And now that we don't have a bunch of impossible-to-fix bugs to deal with, we have a lot more time to spend on adding the features so look for some very functional new features over the next few months, and some features that are just plain cool! Free upgrades for life. You know what it's like, Apple breaks things so often during upgrades, you're never sure when a developer is going to make you fork over more $$ just so you can keep doing the same thing. Well, we got sick of that too and have introduced free upgrades for life. Pay one price, get free upgrades. So next time you think our $39 price tag is a little on the high side, just remember how much we're actually saving you in the long run! Now, those rather horrible negative comments being posted here on VT. Those of you who are real and have bought our product and tested our support will know that our claims are real. Support usually responds within an hour or 2, unless it's at night and then you might have to wait 6 or 7 hours. We are unsettled by the comments being left here, and can only say "an enemy has done this". That's a quote from a good book btw. We think it's probably our competitor who's sales have probably dropped to zero since our launch. It's hard to compete with something that just works! The best thing you can do, is test our support and our product for yourself and draw your own conclusions. We have a 10-day trial version, so what's stopping you? e2Sync [alert admin]

e2Sync 0.9.2.6 (Mac OS X)

These negative reviews are VERY suspicious!

The sudden rush of poor reviews within a few hours is sure suspicious after so many positive 4.5+ star reviews of our product!! Many of the comments made do not make sense in relation to e2Sync even. Syncing works with the exception of reoccurring events from your device to Entourage and a few other minor things, which will be added soon. This is all mentioned in the release notes, but which the reviewers below clearly have not bothered to read. We have a free 10-day trail, so the best thing is, ignore these suspiciously low ranked reviews, download the trial and try it yourself. [alert admin]

e2Sync 0.9.2 (Mac OS X)

re: Beta Trial version not ready for release...

1 star for support? Mike Tall, we have no record of you making contact with us. If you did, you'd quickly discover that our support is second to none. Emails are answered within minutes usually, a few hours at most. We use Skype to talk with people having problems and even the telephone if need be. Our support is deserving of nothing less than 5 stars. Also, you said that e2Sync has a full feature set, but then also gave us a low rank for features. It is beta software, yet you gave us a low rank for quality/stability. When giving a rank, you need to take into consideration a product's status. As we are clearly still in beta, 2 out of 5 is unfair. You then gave us again, just 2 out of 5 for ease of use. We use a proper Apple installer, and then all you need to do is run iSync. Exactly how could we get anything less than 5 stars for ease of Use? How much easier to use it is possible to make an app? Please give fair ratings based on the facts. It's not helpful or encouraging for a developers first review to be so incongruent with the facts. [alert admin]

3D-Space VFS 1.0b2 (Mac OS X)

The first launcher I will use

I'm still a little shocked. For those who might have seen or heard of Pink, this is as close as we have come to it, imo. If you're skeptical about this app, so was I, until I tried it. It's simply amazing, nice to look at, but more importantly, it's insanely usable. I have tried all the launchers and never liked any of them in OS 9 i just had aliases in folder tabs, this though will totally change and accelerate the way I use my Mac. Well done! [alert admin]

The new built in sync is not good, here's why...

The new built in sync does a wholesale sync of everything in Entourage with everything in AddressBook and iCal. There is no way to select what gets synced, or more importantly, what does NOT get synced. If you have 20 contacts in Entourage, the new built-in sync is probably just great for you, but if you have any more than that, forget it, it's not going to be very helpful. e2Sync allow you to select…

I'm the one who replied to you.

The answer was not terse, not even close to being terse. You kept asking about how things worked, and it was clear you did not understand what iSync does. I told you to go and look at Apple pages on iSync to give you a better understanding, but you refused and wanted us to explain it for you. Sorry, but we don't have time to teach you about someone else software, especially when Apple have…
