Language Alchemist 2.5.5 (Mac OS X)
I can't get it to consistently search for translations. I type in a Russian word and it gets no English results. I change it to translate Russian to Spanish and it turns up a result, and I can even change it back to Russian to English and it does give me a result this time. Also, the contextual menus don't actually appear in any of the applications that I've activated. There are clearly some user interface bugs that prevent this application from consistently working. I shouldn't have to figure out work-arounds to get the application to behave. Nice idea, but this application performs too inconsistently for me to recommend. [alert admin]

If you installed Leopard using the HFS+ Case-Sensitive volume format, you'll be unable to install Photoshop CS3. Your only option is to reformat your system volume. Fortunately, I don't have an urgent need for CS3, so I'll just go back to using CS2. [alert admin]

Diary 0.4 (Mac OS X)
Diary is easy to use, and has especially good search functionality for an application of it's class. It could use some interface improvements, but since it's at v0.4 right now, I'll remain optimistic. Thanks for your effort, Matt! [alert admin]

Spirited Away 0.2 (Mac OS X)
I really like this app. Sure it needs some more features, but a version as early as v0.2 should only be a proof of concept, at best. Big thumbs up. [alert admin]

Mactracker X 2.1 (Mac OS X)
There is absolutely no reason for this app to require the installer. I need to use it, so I deal with it... But I strongly disapprove. >:( It is nice in every other respect though. [alert admin]

Perfect Pitch 1.1 (Mac OS X)
pogmoor_dotmac: I suspect that the problem is that you are using a third-part audio device. Perfect Pitch does not currently support anything more than the standard line-in and the built-in microphone (if you have one). Support for other audio devices WILL be coming as soon as possible. Tone Generator X 1.0 (Mac OS X)
It's a fair attempt at a unique interface, but I can't help but think it would be better off using Apple's highly-polished interface elements. For that matter, the interface could be just as effective with 3 popup buttons and a text field. This would also significantly reduce the size (10.1 MB really is MUCH too large for this sort of app). Other issues: No documentation whatsoever. The buttons don't do anything if the tone generator is currently running. The sound is very uneven between tone types and is furthermore generally too loud; even with the system volume at it's absolute minimum it is almost deafening on my headphones. I'd personally like to see the ability to play multiple tones, for work on beat patterns and harmonic series, but perhaps the kinks should be worked out of the current feature set first. It does work, though... [alert admin]

Perfect Pitch 1.0 (Mac OS X)
A more robust way of setting the reference pitch may yet be implemented, however you can always set the "Other..." tuning style to 12 notes per octave and the base to whatever you please. [alert admin]

Roguewolf, To uninstall the application, simply throw it in the trash. The only reason it requires Safari is that it uses the WebKit API, which is not present in your OS if you don't have Safari installed. If you're really concerned with having files lying around, there is also a preferences file at: ~/Library/Preferences/net.dtcurrie.los.pa.plist That is absolutely every file that is created by Personal Aide. What do you mean when you say you are unable to install? For…
