NetNewsWire 3.2.3 (Mac OS X)

It looks like my old regisgtration is now junk...

So I sent a message to support@newsgator.com and I got this response: All paid versions of NetNewsWire and FeedDemon expired in December of 2007. Old license keys will not work for disabling ads, you will have to purchase a new one. So first I'm miffed because I paid for NNW and it became freeware. Now it becomes pay ware and they tell me my registration is now no good. Such a deal. I may start using Vienna again. [alert admin]

Mail Unread Menu 3.2.2 (Mac OS X)

I'm not sure...

...but I think that this app used to bring the proper mailbox to the front when you selected it. Now it always brings the Inbox to the front, regardless of what you select. [alert admin]

As fart as I can tell, Butler works fine with the new OS. [alert admin]

The Weather Channel Dashboard Widget 1.0 (Mac OS X)

This widget is broken...

Whenever I have this widget open, I get the window saying: "The application DashboardClient quit unexpectedly." Everything is fine if I close this widget. [alert admin]

PleaseSleep 1.2 (Mac OS X)

Great little app...

It's just that sometimes when you go to turn it off it doesn't take the first time. So you think your computer will stay awake but it goes to sleep instead. It seems that if you turn PleaseSleep on and off a couple of times the correct setting sticks. [alert admin]

NMS 2.4b (Mac OS X)

A simpler way to put your machine to sleep...

If you want your computer to sleep without having to install a bunch of stuff on it, then try PleaseSleep. It's a very small app that puts an item in your menubar: http://www.dragonone.com/products/macosx/pleasesleep/ Very simple, and works as well as NMS. [alert admin]

What is the correct/current version?

When I installed FruitMenu it said it was updating APE. I downloaded ape-25.dmg and tried to install but it said I already had 2.5. So I guess the 2.5b2 being shown is inaccurate.

OK, I think I have a solution...

Right now, 3.1b21 works fine if I do it in Safe Boot mode. So I think I will reinstall Leopard with an archive and install rather than just an upgrade and see if that fixes things for me.
