I've been using The Unread for a couple of years and really like it. Tried version 1.1 and it completely hangs my Macbook Pro requiring a hard power off to recover. Gave up on 1.1 and back to 1.01. [alert admin]

PodWorks 2.8.3 (Mac OS X)
I downloaded and tried moving a few songs from my ipod to my new dual 2.5G G5 and it went pretty well. I like the user interface. Paid the $8 so I could move all of my songs and then had much worse luck. I have approximately 3500 songs on my ipod, and podworks would download anywhere from 50 to 500 of them and then crash. I would re-launch it and it would copy another 50 to 500 and crash again. After the third or forth crash, I gave up. I downloaded a copy of ipodrip and it downloaded all 3500 songs without a problem. dual 2.5G G5 running 10.3.7 and itunes 4. [alert admin]

Chicken of the VNC 2.0b1 (Mac OS X)
This version is much, much slower than 1.3.6. This is really unfortunate, since I was hoping some of the bugs from 1.3.6 would be fixed and I could use this as my primary vnc client. I'll have to stick with tightvnc built locally, and chicken 1.3.6 when I need to cut and paste (since it's the only vnc client I've found that properly does cut and paste between vnc and other apps.) works with about half of the hosts in our network. The remainder give authentication errors, even though sftp works fine to all of them using rbrowser, macsftp, and fugu. [alert admin]

MenuMail 1.5 (Mac OS X)
agree it would be nice to support multiple mailboxes from the same imap account. As for why this is a nice tool to have, I use a virtual desktop manager, and it's really useful to see a count of received email in the menu bar, regardless of which virtual desktop you're in. [alert admin]
