These appear to have been released March 2006 - I couldn't see anything newer. [alert admin]

World Book 9.0 (Mac OS X)

I updated 7.3 to 8.1 (sort of..)

I'm the same as Tony Walton, except I lied and said I had 7.2 - it let me download the 8.1 updater. I ran the updater and it said that it needed /Applications/World Book 2004 folder, mine was /Applications/world book 2003 folder, so I changed the name of the folder to what it wanted. Now my world book is 8.1 in finder, loads up with world book 2003 splash screen , then has world book 2004 across the main window. I've got a working 3D globe, but can't update (well, the latest month I had was Oct 2003 now I've got Dec 2003, but no later). I'm now the proud owner of a Frankenstein hybrid world book. Oh well, didn't use it much anyhow and it didn't exactly cost much. $30 for an upgrade seems steep, considering the 2003 ed. stopped updating before 2003 was even out, and it's now nearly 2005 before they put out a fix/new version. Completely killed my Flash

Same here, tried everything - had to uninstall and install 9.0.45. Don't know why I bother with all those blasted flashing ads anyhow - they're screwing up the whole damn internets.
