BatchRenamer 0.76 (Mac OS X)
I think with some polishing and peer review (such as putting the project on SourceForge) this could be a very nice app. If it was combined with R-Name we'd have a certain all around winner! [alert admin]

PDF Browser Plugin 2.0 (Mac OS X)
This is a very impressive bit of shareware. I liked v1. I really like v2. The price can't be beat and the fit & finish is nearly right-on.
This version has split-pane view! It also has a toolbar--which you can make go away! I'd love this version if not for two minor quibbles. I'll echo numerous existing posts:
- 86 the default background color, please...
- reclaim scrollwheel support for Safari.
I was able to download the "PDF Browser Plugin Settings" program and rid the background of the horrendous green (and use 86% grey ;) But points must come off for these 2 glaring (albeit non-critical) imperfections.
Thanks Schubert! [alert admin]

Watson 1.7 (Mac OS X)
this app. And I've always thought it to be worth about $15... (There is a lot of shareware out there worthy of support.) -1 for being slightly overpriced. I wrote the developer right after it came out about the aggressive nags, and got a dismissive reply. But I still like this app. Plug-in development requires Obj-C expertise, may we have yet to see its full potential. [alert admin]

iPhoto Override 10.2.3v2 (Mac OS X)
TO ej_sadler, make a symlink in /Users to your home directory. It should make things easier for you... TO Don, Override does libraries, not albums... TO cravencondor, 1) launch, 2) drop an empty folder onto the Override window, 3) watch what happens... (P.S. I've tested iPO with iPhoto v.2 and it works.) [alert admin]

the pain. One star is one too many. Ugly little beta, but they want your credit card anyway... UnREAL. Really! What is with this PC crossover chum??? I don't believe all the happy users who posted an opinion on this. VersionTracker just doesn't attract so many auto-happy "users." Psuedo-aqua interface, but Real inconvenience. [alert admin]

iPhoto Override 10.2.1 (Mac OS X)
this program doesn't even act upon the actual library. Nor does it accept things dropped upon the program icon. (I don't know how you did it.) It might hose your prefs file -- just delete it. [alert admin]

iPhoto Override 10.2.1 (Mac OS X)
just trash your iPhoto preference file (com.apple.iPhoto.plist) ... write to me about not being able to get it to accept albums though [alert admin]

MacSFTP 1.0.5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
easy to throw out. I just launched it and the trial was over. I must have opened it once before. Geez, trialware needs to be a little more sophisticated than this, please! [alert admin]

lovingly crafted app / tutorial for gui-hackers. Impressive and useful -- well, impressive :) Note: it's unclear at first that the dual arrow-cursor previews represent Quartz/QExtreme. (minus 1/4 star) [alert admin]
