Launcher by Odology 1.0 (Mac OS X)
besides other free options that already do this... if this simply "leverages the built in indexing system" then why not simply *use* the built in system by that I'm sure you mean spotlight... You may respond by saying spotlight returns more than jst app launching but all one would need to do is make that change in the system prefs to only return apps by only allowing indexing of apps it works great. so i'm not sure what this is for especially not being free [alert admin]

Safer Workstation 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
I broke into my own machine within seconds... it's not even sad it's a joke. You'll notice an app icon launch in your dock several seconds after login right click or control click it and select show in finder. then simply move helper.app to the trash next time you log in it will no longer log you out. Very FALSE security I feel bad for people that think this is security. not worth it even for $5.00 or free at that and yeah untie??? never works [alert admin]

Icon Pallet 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Over priced.... spend the money on Dragthing... In Dragthings simplest state it does the exact same thing. But Dragthing can do far more multiple docks resizable many visual styles. dock to edge auto hide show. Just look it up. [alert admin]

Paparazzi! 0.2.1 (Mac OS X)
upon a deeper look (since it is not made clear) I am guessing this is to aid in taking a shot of the entire page --- meaning the parts that don't appear unless you scroll. If the page is longer then the window then part will be cut off. simple fix is use the print command and save as pdf it will save everything you see on screen as you see it including the parts you would need to scroll to see. so I still consider this useless [alert admin]

Paparazzi! 0.2.1 (Mac OS X)
Why does anyone need such a thing? The mac has built in functions to take screen shots. If you want a shot of a webpage complete open your browser to that page. TYPE command+shift+4 keys then once you have the cross hair all you need to do is press the spacebar to switch to item mode... this will show you a camera icon and anything you hover over will be highlighted to show that is what you will be taking a shot of. click your browser window and you have a shot of the page. if you don't press spacebar you can simply use the cross hair to select anything on the screen. Or if you want the entire screen command+shift+3. Learn to use what is built in to the System without adding useless junk [alert admin]

ClamXav 1.0g (Mac OS X)
I use Clam on my servers for some time now and have been meaning to get around to seeing if I could get it running on OSX THANK YOU SO MUCH this is awesome! THIS is what everyone would have wished Virex crud was. Clam is fantastic and really does a great job and since it is so relied upon by server admins you can be rest assured it's defs are well up to date all the time. Next I want to get RKHunter http://www.rootkit.nl/ running on my Mac! together it's a nice well secured system. Apple should take note of this and be sure to BUNDLE Clam in the future! [alert admin]

Proteus has *ALWAYS* been free... It was never cripled or ever timed out. It would now and then pop a message about sending money to help pay for the time put into it but never ever forced you to pay so anyone that has sent money did so of their own free will. I have to admit i was one of the people that suggested to Justin to ask for seomthing for all his time.…

What I'd still like to know is how Tricksilver.app when dragged to the same folder as the file named "Quicksilver.app" says it would overwrite Quicksilver.app??? how is that trick possible 2 different names? that's what really blew my mind.

how about another deeper look?
not for me... not sure how you are saving your pdf or what you changed but i get one long pdf of the page. And I save many pages. I still can't see a use for this since it's all built into the system.

"it's not entirely inconceivable that something could sneak in on the back of what might otherwise appear to be a legitimate install authorized by an admin password. In any case, it seems like a good idea to be checking inside root for any infections." I'm very sorry but IF it didn't come from Apple or a VERY VERY well known software company ON a CD I bought from a store - Then you deserve to have…

IF you took the time to learn how to use your software you would find a simple solution. Unsanity apps provide a way to EXCLUDE altering apps YOU specify... I have certainly found some apps that had to be added to the exclude list not many but a few rare items that it's not Unsanities fault but the horrible job the other developer did. IF an application follows OS X rules and guidelines it will…

some people are just plain dumb! this does belong here... it CAN be run on a mac AND PHP is installed by default on your mac... if you don't know how to access it then maybe this does not apply to you and maybe you should just shut up. AND PHP is NOT script maybe you should learn something about programming before opening your dumb mouth! when you can program or even script in some…

explorer is dead on the mac why bother - why develop for a discontinued product wasted effort if you ask me... stick to standards that work in standards compliant browsers.. MSIE fools will just have to suffer with a less than perfect browser if they so choose to use it.

IMHO I don't see how you can comment when you have not tried the software. Speculation and reports and knowing what it does and how it does it is not real world use. and yes it is patching I never said it wasn't it does so on a per app basis THIS IS NOTHING like OS 9 where patching was rather and unfortunately inter-woven with everything else (since memory space was not protected on a per app…
