Atomic Cannon 2.6 (Mac OS X)
This app follows no user interface guidelines that I can determine. The killer: Any application that leaves all my windows resized after quitting it goes to the trash. That's unforgivable. I love this type of casual game, but this one is unuseable. Go see PocketTanks Deluxe for a Mac friendly one. [alert admin]

ROUTE 66 Route USA 2004 3.6.0 build 4 (Mac OS X)
The VT info says shareware, but the develper's website only sells a commercial version on CD. I think this is definitely a "try before you buy" situation, particularly since the software doesn't seem to be actively supported. Anyone have more info? Looks like something I'd use, but... [alert admin]

Apple Security Update 2005-003 (Mac OS X)
Mail will not create replies or forwards
After installing the update, selecting reply or forward does nothing. If I quit Mail then relaunch it, the new message appears, but it is blank. [alert admin]

iSightWeb 1.0b11 (Mac OS X)
Exactly what I am looking for, but...
Finally a webcam app that doesn't wash the dishes and do my taxes. I just want an application that sits there using as little CPU as possible until its timer tells it to wake up and take one picture (not a movie), name it something I choose, send it to a folder on a locally connected computer (ftp not necessary), then go back to idle until it's time to take another picture. I don't need live updates, movies, motion sensing, time lapse, or anything else that is going to use CPU resources for anything other than getting a picture from the cam to a folder at a specified period.
That having been said, iSightWeb stopped working when it was not the frontmost application, and went into spinning beachball mode when I brought it back to the front. I had to force quit it.
I really want this to work, but it's not there yet

I've noticed some performance and compatibility improvements, but the thing i like the best about the new version is no more new windows offset down and over from the previous one. Dang, that was annoying. Now, just like Mary Poppins, Safari is _nearly_ perfect in every way... in my opinion. [alert admin]

I really WANT this to work, but...
The old OS9 app worked just like I wanted. I got a page of thumbnails that linked to a larger image that was in turn scaled down from my Photoshop original. Great! I can't get there with this OSX version. I just get thumbnails leading to single thumbnails. The app also crashes on quit. I liked the old one, any way to just make it work as-it-was in OSX. I hate firing up classic to run it, but that's where I am now. Thanks for listening. [alert admin]

Readerware 2.85 (Mac OS X)
Just installed MacOS 10.3, and now none of the Readerware apps launch. Anyone else? [alert admin]
