DoThisNow 1.4.1 (Mac OS X)

Been using it and

going through what it does, I have to say that Butler does everything this does, and then some, ALL for FREE. $19 my foot. give butler a chance before you even half think of buying this. the devs have every right to charge for this. but we also have every right to use superior apps that do the same thing for free. :) [alert admin]

800-Say-What 3.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Haha

I think it should be called 1-800-LAZY-AZZZ. Hey, the devs have every right to charge for this. But who in the hell would use this besides the laziest person on the planet? [alert admin]

SharedMemory 0.2 (Mac OS X)

What is the purpose of this?

All this seems like is a newsgroup without the files and a messageboard without the specific topics. I don't see what void this is filling in my life. I understand that it's a very new program. But what, if any, are the advantages of this over a normal messageboard? The idea definitely needs a lot of tweaking in order to appeal to anyone. [alert admin]

MoofMenu 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)

$5?????

Butler and Quicksilver, do this and WAAAYYYYY more for free. This probably would have been worth the $5 about a year ago. But the competition blows this out of the water by far on a variety of levels now. [alert admin]

SolarSeek 0.3 (31) (Mac OS X)

Decent

Hey, its the best OSX native client that I've seen so far that doesnt require at least x11. And it's stable to boot! It does everything pretty well, just a little rudimentary, even compared to nicotine. I was surprised to see that the user browse actually worked. Things it needs to be able to do in order to replace nicotine: - The ability to see who is available and who isn't. (i.e. using the peecee and nicotine clients: more people are away then are available, and it makes a huge difference because most people you cannot download from when they're away.) - Show the speed at which you downloading. - The ability to sort search results by any one of the parameters. - The ability to filter search results. - It needs to show the name of what you're searching in the tab instead of just saying "Search" overall its definitely a great app and does the very basic things really well. I hope they continue to develop this client more, as it will break the door open for mac users and soulseek. Thanks for the effort and please keep up the great work! [alert admin]

Azureus BitTorrent Client 2.1.0.4 (Mac OS X)

WHOA

This version loads in a 3rd of the time the older version did, and quits faster too. These were my two major complaints with all the previous versions. I love azureus. its definitely the best bittorrent client out there. It lets you do so much. Kudos to the Devs. They're starting to turn this Windoze jalopy into a shining Mac star. :) [alert admin]

eDonkey2000 0.53.13 (Mac OS X)

Love it.

just discovered this today. First it crashed because I launched it from the disk image folder and moved just the application to my apps folder. I closed it and relaunched it to see what would happen and I got a bunch of errors that wouldnt allow it to launch. I figured it might have needed some of those folders in the disk image folder. So i copied the whole image folder to my apps folder and launched and quit a few times and not a problem since. the network reminds me a lot of bittorrent. because you can get anything, small to huge on it and people bounce off your connection like bittorrent. I really like it a lot and will use it over pretty much any others. Xfactor is just like poisoned: crappy and slow and a pain to actually get things to download. I recommend this over those hands down. It's super easy to use, you get results instantly and downloads almost as fast. what more could you want? I've already found full albums and movies that ive been wanting for quite some time. i'd almost say its as good as soulseek for music. but i havent tried super obscure stuff yet. kudos to the devs. [alert admin]
