PocketMac for BlackBerry 4.0.20b (Mac OS X)
I've tried this several times over the past two years (most recently today), and each time I am drawn in by the promise of solid syncing and I have been disappointed every time. It is simply the worst software I've ever used in terms of falling short of expectations. The fact that it's free is fitting, because I doubt if anyone would actually buy it. Here's what I tried to do today: take the Contacts data from my BlackBerry and import them into my Mac. I tried doing this in three formats: Entourage, Now Contact, and Outlook. Each attempt failed to import my data. I will now try the MissingSync. RIM should pull this puppy off their web site--it's not worth it. MacBook 2.17 GHz Core 2 Duo, 2 Gigs RAM, 120 MB HD, BB 8700c, OS 10.4.11. [alert admin]

I tried this on my MacBook Core Duo (2.16 GHz with 2 GB of RAM) and it worked for some mailboxes. In total, I probably have about 15 Gigs of emlx files (perhaps 150,000 email messages) in a variety of mailboxes on my hard drive. MailScripts was very slow, however. And on a particularly large mailbox (16,000 messages), Mail.app unexpectedly quit and MailScripts didn't finish its work. I had better luck using this script: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=2005050314315464 which was also kind of slow but was more stable, in my experience. [alert admin]

PocketMac for BlackBerry 4.0 (Mac OS X)
Uninstall Program Doesn't Delete Everything
I ran the uninstall program that comes with download. Unfortunately, it doesn't delete everything that was originally installed with PocketMac or created shortly thereafter. I recommend that you do a Spotlight (or EasyFind, which is what I use) search for "PocketMac" to ensure that all of these files are properly deleted. I also searched for "BlackBerry" and "MacBerry" just to be sure. [alert admin]

PocketMac for BlackBerry 4.0 (Mac OS X)
In addition to generating error messages and not working, it has somehow disabled the Sleep function on my MacBook. Now I'm downloading the software again so I can use the Uninstall program. Stay away from Version 4.0! There's no documentation about fixes in any of the related support sites. This was released too prematurely. [alert admin]

PocketMac for BlackBerry 4.0 (Mac OS X)
Doesn't Work with Now Software & MacBook
When I tried to sync with Now Up-to-Date & Contact, I got two error messages, in which NowRimCalendar and NowRimTasks unexpectedly quit (from the Finder). Within PocketMac itself, I get an error message about [11:14:17.868]DesktopData:;findMapUsing: Not Found Very weird. The sync didn't work at all. Please fix it. [alert admin]
