Apple HP Printer Drivers 2.3 (Mac OS X)
Installs OK (apparently) but no solution for Scanjet 4850
I let the installer run for several minutes beyond the apparent hang and it did finish with a message stating that installation was successful. However, nothing had changed and HPScanPro still reports scanner not found (Scanjet 4850 that works OK on an old PowerBook under Tiger). This is not looking good ... [alert admin]

OpenOSX WinTel 3.0 (Mac OS X)
I want to try this with my wife's Windows patchwork software and the app that downloads stuff to her fancy sewing machine. However, I don't want to invest $25 until I know it works for that. [alert admin]

Firefox 3.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Succesfully downloaded 3.0.2 but the image won't mount. Nothing happens when I double click on the .dmg file or when I nominate DiskImageMounter to use. Tried another complete download with the same result. Using FireFox 3.0.1 and not had any problems like this. [alert admin]

Tune Buster Home Edition 1.1 (Mac OS X)
On my intel iMac under 10.5.4, all the instruments sound exactly like a piano, and the two sliders do absolutely nothing. Can't see any contact info on the developer's site. A pity because it looks really interesting and the demo track sounds great. [alert admin]

Gave up on this after months of use due to unreliable scheduled recordings. AudioHijack Pro works without a hitch and is more flexible. [alert admin]

Weather Vane 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Using 10.5.4 on an intel iMac, this works perfectly for Albany, Western Australia. Very neat little app, although a black font colour would be easier to read. [alert admin]
