CheckUp 1.0 (Mac OS X)
As a general system utility, it seems to work fine on my MacPro, 10.5.2. There are no options here for anything that is not offered in many other apps/utilities. The interface is nice looking, but only customizable by downloading other skins that only seem to change the color scheme. Many of the graphic elements are huge screen hogs, and have no apparent way to re-size them. You can get the same info (for free) from iStat Pro. And the same system maintenance from *censored*tail for a nominal fee. All that said, at $49 the app is grossly overpriced. I think this is a French product, and the euro/dollar exchange rate is certain to doom this app in this country. Maybe at $15-$20 it might have a chance. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 0.9 (Mac OS X)
the numbering system here. It is listed on Version Tracker as 0.9, but the About Safari box says it is 1.0, but does list the build number (v73) for more accurate tracking. The previous version I had (v60) also was listed as 1.0. Nitpicking I know, otherwise working great. dodsonmd [alert admin]
