Carbon Copy Cloner 2.3 (Mac OS X)
tainscough - It takes all of 10 seconds to load up Disk Utility and run Repair Permissions. Your repeated whining just gets on everyone's nerves. Grow up. [alert admin]

pdf-Recover 1.2.6 (Mac OS X)
Just say NO to pkg installers. There is no reason in the world why this can be a simple drag-and-drop from the dmg. [alert admin]

Safari Backup & Restore 1.0 (Mac OS X)
You could also just backup your ~/(username) directory. Specifically, the ~/(username)/Library/Safari directory. I'm not knocking the developer, but really, it's not all that hard to backup your safari info manually. [alert admin]

Finder Window Manager 1.6 (Mac OS X)
Number one request: add an option for a system-wide menu that switches between sets by click, or by hotkey. Otherwise this app is something I've been looking for for a LONG time: simply brilliant! [alert admin]

iChat Enhancer 1.5 (Mac OS X)
Sorry. Not going to install something that uses APE. APE repeated nuked my computer, there's no way I'm installing it again. Free the app from APE, and I might try it. [alert admin]

Application Enhancer 1.4.1 (Mac OS X)
APE screwed over my computer multiple times. To the point where I couldn't even boot until I manually went in with OS 9 and removed the files. This has NEVER happened to me before, in my 15+ years of using computers, where an install program has litterally caused multiple freezes or otherwise caused the system not to boot. And every time, the problem was tracked to APE. It's a shame, haxies are pretty neat, but it's not worth it. Unless there's some serious fixes, there's no way in hell I would ever install APE again. Unless you have a dying need for your computer to stop working, I would stay away. [alert admin]

Carbon Copy Cloner 1.4 (Mac OS X)
timed, unsupervised backups. Tie it in with cron and you have THE OS X backup utility. (Since I need timed backups, I only really use this for cloning.) [alert admin]

Xounds 1.3 (Mac OS X)
my machine. I'm not sure if it's Xounds or that ACE program. Either way, on 10.2, all my startup apps repeatedly crash. Finder spawns multiple copies of itself. EXTREMELY buggy. [alert admin]

Application Enhancer 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Application Enhancer 1.1 (Mac OS X)
OS X 10.2 machine. After I restarted, suddenly all my startup apps kept crashing. I could not get to the desktop. Others have reported similar problems with apps crashing. When I opened the Force Quit box, I saw multiple copies of the Finder spawning themselves. EXTREMELY buggy. I like the unsanity guys, they know what people want and know how to make good UI elements. But sometimes, they push things too far. But making OS X unstable just to get some functionality back from OS 9 is just not worth it. I'll find other ways to work if I have to. "Application Enhancers cannot affect the core system - they operate on an application level, therefore, they cannot cause a whole Mac OS X system to crash.": if they require this disclaimer message on their main ACE site, then obviously something bad is going on with a lot of people. I'll wait till they iron it out before installing Xounds again. [alert admin]

Nice. Complaining about using a beta program on a beta operating system. Good job... dumbass.
